“La raja”

Bellavista is great fun. If you just want to chill out with a beer or 'hit it hard' there is something for everybody. Be careful late at night. Also, if you're heading home late, go to the lady who sells meat on the bridge, she is a legend.

“A decent place, but for tourists”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

It's nice to go there for a visit but don't expect traditional or good food there... it's meant tourists and tourists only. There is a decent "Irish" pub that broadcasts rugby from time to time. If you are not short of money, you can find nice lapizlazuli jewelry. If you want to see some Chilean lifetime go away and walk half a block from there and drink a bloody litre bottle of beer outside.

“Interesting neighbourhood”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Not a bad little area of cafes and bars. Could maybe do with a fresh coat of (spray) paint, but overall a nice area to explore.

“Very touristy, but it's in a nice area.”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

When I was in Santiago, I was here about three or four times. It's a nice area known for its nightlife. Very crowded, lots of bars and restaurants and an artisan market. That said, if you're interested in experiencing Santiago's culture, this is not the place to go. Everything here is really "Americanized" and overpriced... but if that's what you're looking for, then this place is for you!

“The Bohemian part of town”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Known for its Bohemian history, artists can't afford to live here now. Like so many gentrified areas, Bellavista is awash with cafes, bars and craft stores.
