Owner description: This cultural city neighborhood is rich with artists, entertainers and some of chile's best ethnic and local cuisine.

This is currently one of the hot spots for Chileans to hang out in. It is full of different pubs, restaurants and dance clubs at night and different artesian shops during the day
Drinks are a little expensive, the food is not as good as expected in the Indian restaurant.

Has a lot of good shopping (lapis lazuli, handicrafts, random stuff), good restaurants, and is arguably the best nightlife spot in the city. During the day, lots of really cool art galleries (often free to enter), the Pablo Neruda house, and awesome graffiti. At night, hit up Pio Nono for cheap beer on the street.

I would avoid over-priced Patio Bellavista unless you have lots of money or are taking a very wealthy girl on a date and are trying to impress her.

i saw this listed on the internet and am glad i found it -- also nearbye is a restaurant like water for chocolate --- although i did not eat at bellavista i would have if i was not alone -- the shops were fun to look at -- and lots of security everywhere you look. university area so even outside and nearbye are other vendors with artsy stuff... and cheap sandwiches by street vendors.

Really interesting place to visit. The melting pot of students, tourists, and artists. Lots of nice places to visit, great restaurants, and the general atmosphere is very energetic! Would love to visit again!
