Very easy to be found at the heart of Santiago, this is the most impressive cathedral there I've been visited. Worth a visit.

The cathedral is beautiful and well worth a visit...as is all of Plaza de Armas. The acoustics in th cathedral are amazing. Mimes perform in front of the cathedral. The post office's architecture inside is beautiful and the museum next to that is well worth a visit. On another side of the plaza is a series of fast food restaurants Chilean-style and quite the bargain.

Huge catholic church located in the historic centre of Santiago, in Plaza de Armas. Be sure to look up at the ceiling. Acoustics are excellent and it's very easy to hear the Mass service no matter where you're sitting or standing. Outside, you can take a picture of the church's reflection from the building to the right. Unfortunately, as of June 2014, the exterior of the church is covered for renovations, as well as the rest of the plaza. Subway: Plaza de Armas (line 5).

This is a very beautiful cathedral. It has at least two relics from saints: one from St Theresa of the Andes, the first saint from Chile and one from Saint John Paul II (this is the first time I have seen him mentioned as a saint and seen his relic).

Very special church where you can take some time to rest and see how this is inside. Beautiful place to visit during your stay. I visited it two times, one alone and other with wife a around 2008.
