We climbed the paved path and took the funicular down. It took about 1.5 hours. The view is incredible! The "mote con huesillo" was a tasty drink after the climb.

Hikes up here with some buddies, this hike was fairly easy, plenty of stray dogs as usual in Santiago. But once you get to the top the view is spectacular, besides climbing mount keway this is the best touristy view of Santiago, it's free, good for you, why not climb it? :)

The views up there are awesome!! Plus the trip up on the funicular is FUN! It was a cool experience. I really enjoyed seeing the city at different heights as we slowly made our way up on the funicular. Going up to the Virgin statue gives you the very best views and is definitely worth your time! I would say it is a 1 hour to 1.5 hour experience between going up and coming down.

This is definitely a good family activity because you can take strollers on the funicular as well.

I took the tram to the top of the hill and back, costing 2,000 pesos - didn't have time for the 30 minute steep walk to the top. It was an amazing view, but a shame the smog hovers over the city. The view of the snow covered Andes is worth a visit.
