“Brilliant service, great stay”

Great hotel. We had an apartment which felt very luxurious and the staff went out of their way to assist us when we arrived and the website hotels.com had forgotten to pass on our booking (would recommend booking directly with hotel). Definitely recommend.

This is a nice hotel in a great part of the city, close to lots of good restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is comfortable with well appointed common areas, even if the rooms are a little small and dated.

However, whatever it may lack in decor, is more than made up for by very good service. The best and most unusual thing is that they provide guests who have checked out shower facilities so that you can spend the afternoon in Santiage and then return to the hotel for a shower and change of clothes before your late night flight back to the United States. Very nice touch and much appreciated.

Very pleasant helpful staff. Our early arrival was met with 'please join us for breakfast' which was technically not part of our deal, an impressive first impression. The hotel is a warren of corridors, staircases and rooms. Ours was a double but a small room, getting rather tired but was very clean and quiet. Everything worked but small things like no expelair in the bathroom and a good 5 minutes + for hot water did take the shine off the room. Breakfast was very good, delicious fresh fruit and the usual range of continental breakfast items, completely self service so coffee out of a large urn which always disappoints. A choice of 2 rooms to eat in, a lovely conservatory, rather small, and a more formal room. A very nice touch is coffee, tea and biscuits available throughout the day; the only hotel in a five week tour which offered such hospitality.
We found Santiago to be a very large city with very few real points of interest apart from the small historic centre around the cathedral and where the city was founded. Hotel location has relatively little importance. Therefore this hotel, we believe, is as good as anywhere. We went on several strolls radiating out from the hotel and came to no points of interest, just shops, shops, shops, and restaurants. Liguria next door was very good.
So overall Hotel Orly is fine, a good hotel, it was Santiago as a city that was disappointing.

So if you are plann

We stayed here at the beginning of November and have to agree with other recent reviews stating just how nice this hotel is. Our room was very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection and was set in a very nice tea room style area. The hotel is just tucked away in a side street from a busy road so it is nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santiago.

The Hotel Orly is on a beautiful tree lined street with several restaurants in easy walking distance and very close access to subway and bus routes. There was even a movie shoot 2 doors away in front of the Teatro Orient which is another lovely building, just like the Hotel Orly.

Breakfast each day was quite good with selection of breads, cheeses, cold cuts fruit and wonderful cakes. Free wifi was nice and quick.

The room was clean with a good bed, the only downside is that it was fairly small with little room to open up a suitcase.

Room Tip: Room 14 was fairly small. Closet size was good if you want to unpack but if you're living out o...

We stayed here for two separate nights. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy. There are lots of places to eat nearby and also the Metro is close by. One negative thing was that our checkout was very early in the morning and although we had paid for breakfast, the hotel could not accommodate us for breakfast that early - apart from tea/coffee and biscuits. I think they should be prepared for early checkouts and provide the service.

Everything about this little hotel is nice. The staff and especially the cafe on the street. Breakfast is served (included) in a tiny courtyard. Breakfast selection is very good, as is the coffee and pastry. The hotel is only steps away from the Metro underground serving the university district, the Plaza de Armas, or the Dominican artisan village, about 30 minutes away.
The street has some nice restraurants, but you really can't beat a nice pizza or an entre at the hotel's own cafe.

Room Tip: For an extended stay, ask about their apartments down the street in a separate building. Very adequ...
