Business delegation, late January 2013, 2 nights. Very good hotel, which share the same premises with Sheraton Santiago. All the facilities (gym, pool, restaurants) are excellent, but the overall feel of the hotel was strange. Rooms are luxurious, but made you feel 15 years older (wood, dark colors, furniture).

Business center is very useful, they are always looking after you.

You can actually go running on a very nice path, just 2 Kms from the hotel ... the path goes all the way up to the top of the mountain.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Andes, on the top floors are best.

The hotel is ok, especially for a business stay. But check in and check out took too long and when at 8am we asked for an early check in, the room could be made ready only at 1pm. It took a long time to pay bills as well (issues with the system if I understood right)

Dear Morghi76;

I am sorry to hear that your experience with our Check-in & Check-out processes was not as expected. I have already spoke with our Director of Rooms in order to reinforce our procedures to our Guest Service Agents. In regards to your request of early check in, regularly, this is upon availability since our check in time is as from 3:00pm.

My best regards,

The hotel was fully booked when we arrived in the morning so we had to wait for our rooms for several hours. Fortunately we were allowed to use the bathroom facilities in the pool/gym area so we could refresh ourselves after the long flight,

The service was OK here but nothing special, the rooms were really spacious with comfortable beds and selection of pillows. They have a good gym and both inside and outside pool.

They have a nice bar (breakfast in the morning) on the top floor with great view over Santiago. Pisco sour was good here!

Room Tip: There's a construction work at the moment on the hill side, so its a better view on the city sid...

Dear Kari F,

Thanks for posting a review about your experience at San Cristóbal Tower. I'm glad that your stayed fulfilled you expectations, although there were no rooms available when you arrived, you can enjoy the lovely spaces and pool area.

The 21th floor have one of the most amazing views of Santiago, and the drinks are amazing! I’m going to comment about the pisco sour that you liked it so much to the bar.

Hope that you can visit us again,

Cordially,
Howie Brown,

Got upgraded to here from the Sheraton next door as an SPG gold member.
Rooms are spacious and clean if a little dated but the standout was the service of all the staff. I lost a credit card during transit from the airport and the care and concern for recovery of the said card was second to none. What could have been very stressful was made bearable by all the staff from guest relations to the concierge. Food was great for breakfast and lunch and we had a great time.

This hotel is the epitome of luxury. Very gracious staff that remember your name and do everything to please you. We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival, with a complimentary bottle of local wine, a fruit and cheese platter in the room. A butler comes and greets you immediately, offering free clothes pressing, shoe shine, as well as unpacking your clothes if desired. The bathroom was huge, with a spa tub, separate rainshower and a bidet. High quality toiletries.
Breakfast included in the 21st Floor Lounge was bountiful. Room service was prompt and very reasonably priced.
Santiago has a wonderful public transportation system but it is a bit of a hike to the nearest Metro station, Pedro de Valdivia or Manuel Montt.
We were in Santiago before taking an Antarctica cruise and stayed in the adjacent Sheraton hotel for one night, then stayed in the San Cristobal after our cruise. The room rates were very comparable but the Sheraton rooms are definitely NOT comparable to the San Cristobal. They are old, dingy, very cramped (about half the size of standard rooms at the San Cristobal) and in dire need of a MAJOR update.

The San Cristobal Tower has it all, including an excellent staff, fully appointed rooms, complete gym/spa and an outdoor dining area with fire pits.

Upon check-in (we arrived first thing in the morning) we appreciated being given a room immediately even though the official check-in time was hours later. The high-floor room had a terrific view of the Andes. The room was completely noise-free throughout our 3-day stay.

The gym was excellent, with 5 treadmills, and numerous ellipticals and bicycles, each of which with an individual TV (and plenty of English-language channels). The indoor pool adjacent to the gym was small, but clean.

At night, we found it very relaxing to order drinks on the outside patio adjacent to a number of outdoor fire pits.

Most importantly, the staff at the San Cristobal was perfect. A special thank-you to Erika, who helped us with a number of questions regarding Santiago and also assisted us with a future reservation for our next destination. She could not have been more attentive.
