“Great spot in a cute area!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

While staying in Santiago for five weeks I visited this coffee shop at least twice a week. There are two locations: one in the Lastarria district near Catholic University (at this metro stop) and one at Baqeudano metro stop attached to La Sebastiana hotel. The one attached to the hotel has great buffet breakfasts with unlimited pastries and scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal, etc. I prefer the other one because the Lastarria district is a great pedestrian area for strolling, eating, and shopping. Both cafes however have great coffee drinks and pastries and a very cute and welcoming atmosphere!

“Lived up to it's name”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

Stopped in this afternoon for coffee and something sweet. Around the table we managed to consume 2 americanos, 2 lattes, macarons, ham and cheese croissant, raspberry cheesecake and nutella cheesecake.

My friends thought the raspberry cheesecake was average. I thought the nutella cheesecake was excellent. Coffees were good. Place was clean and beautiful. Service was good. Price was a bit on the high end, but it matched the look of the place (ie. the prices didn't come as a surprise)

The only thing that took away from the experience was the fact that we chose to sit outside. The outdoor tables are right on the street, and car exhaust was an issue while we were eating.

Would definitely go back if I was in the neighbourhood.

“NOT Wonderful”

Nice ambience however staff take waaay too long to take your order! The menu is quite overpriced. You deserve better than this.

“Best coffee shop in Santiago”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

If you are looking for good coffee and food in Santiago, this is the place for you. The staff is bi-lingual in English and Spanish so don't worry if you can't speak Spanish. The bagels remind me of getting a New York City bagel. And for those looking for dairy free milk, they have a soy milk option which is really hard to come by in Santiago. I'll be stopping here again on my yearly trips to Santiago.

“Good ambience, great coffee and even better sweets”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2012

I have been to Wondeful for lunch and coffee/cake. For lunch you have some sandwiches, bagels and salads: all ingredients super fresh, healthy and tasty. Coffee is good (fair trade coffee!) and they have different brews depending on the day. The selection of cakes is quite yummy but repetitive if you go too often. I recommend the flourless chocolate cake.
Overall is very nice, if anything, the cakes are a tad overpriced. (aprox. USD5 for a slice)
Still quite worth it!
