If you stay at the Ritz-Carlton and do not want to go out for dinner, Estró is a decent choice. Otherwise, the food is average (some starters, eg abalone salad, scallops and salmon ceviche are even downright mediocre.) We had all 3 of their pisco sours, and none would hold the candle to the ones we had elsewhere. Not good value, but again to be expected of hotel eateries.

We do not usually eat in hotel restaurants, but I am certainly glad we ended up eating at Estro, as it was a fantastic experience all around. The appetizer portions were nicely sized and the food in general was a bit more creative then some of the other meals we had while in South America. We started with the sea bass ceviche and duck confit salad and then for main dishes we had the grilled tuna and the short ribs, which in my opinion was the highlight of the meal. Dessert was fresh fruit, which was fresh fruit (what can you expect?). The service was also very attentive (which was a different experience than Arola) and the sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, Estro is worth stopping at if you are looking for a nice, higher end Santiago meal.

The food here is absolutely amazing. This is by far, hands down, no dispute, my favorite restaurant in town. The service is excellent, and you get what you pay for. There are a lot of very expensive restaurants around Santiago, but this is by far the only one that's 110% worth every peso. After dinner go out to the terrace or sit at the bar. They have excellent drinks and a great atmosphere to enjoy them.

Definitively one of my favorite restaurants in Santiago. Great service and attention to detail, and the best tuna in town - served appropriately rare.
