We stayed four nights and had no trouble when we arrived at 6 pm. The concierge in this condo block had an envelope with our keys and a local map ready for us. Went up, awesome loft apartment, comfy bed, bathtub in the bathroom with great hot water. Kitchen had all implements and the supermarket is just downstairs out the Merced entrance (you will arrive on Huerfanos Street). We went and visited Leslie in the office who was a great help and booked a tour for us with a local company, arranged transport for the airport and was great for a chat as she speaks excellent English. For the price and location we could not have been any happier and would definitely stay there again. PS - housekeeping does a great job - but isn't there on Sundays - no huge drama. Note - it was winter, but the indoor swimming pool we were expecting, was actually closed - Leslie did say even though indoor, it would have been too cold for swimming anyway.

The apartments have a good location and in a place like Santiago, for a good price. I was a little aprehensive after reading some of the reviews, and there is some truth to everything written. The aparment was a loft, so the bed was upstairs, and after a day of walking, not a good thing. Located in the middle of Santiago, not the pretiest part of the city, but it was fine. Nice to have a supermarket steps from the entrance in Merced (you can either go out from Huerfanos or Merced). The hours of the office were irregular so it was kind of difficult to get in touch with them. The first problem we had was that was we arrived in Santiago after midnight. We couldn't get in touch with nobody to let them know this, and we called three times just to get an answering machine, We search for an email, with no success (btw, they have one). Thankfully they left us the key with the concierge.
On our third night we had problems with our key, and had to wait for almost an hour for someone to help us, because the office was closed at 8:00 pm (it is supposed to close at 10:00 pm). After a while, the concierge took pity on us(in the begining he said he had nothing to do with this apartments and no one to call) so he called someone, and this someone called the girl that was supposed to be at the office. She lives in the bulding, but she was taking a shower so we waited. We speak spanish so this was very helpful, the people at the concierge desk, don't speak english.
In general the location was good, but like in every big city you should not walk alone, after midnight. The guys at the office were very nice and helpful, when you could find them ( went there a couple of times, before the supossed closing time, and there was nobody there either).
WiFi was very good. We were at Huerfanos, at the 10th floor , so no problems with the noise. The air conditioning is on the first floor so the room upstairs could get stuffy. We solved that putting a fan downstairs pointing upwards.
If you don't speak spanish and need a lot of information while traveling, dont stay there, get a hotel. But if you are an experienced traveler or speak some spanish, I would recomend it. I had to give it an average rating, because the other alternative was very good, and it felt short of that.

The appartments are located in a large compound consisting of several blocks, with access from both Merced and Huerfanos. They are conveniently located in the heart of the city, at walking distance of all main sights, with the Santa Lucia hill located next to the compound (do go up there for a nice view of the city in several direction).
The compound has its own swimming pool on the roof of one of the blocks. It's pretty basic and the water is rather cold, but it's large enough and thus sufficient for an occasional swim. Don't expect anything too fancy though.
The appartments all have the same size and more or less the same type of appliences and furniture. WiFi with good speed is included.
There is a supermarket in the premises on Merced Street, which is even open on Sundays. Nearby there are several places where you can have breakfast in case you don't want to cater for it yourself.
On the downside: if you have an apartment facing Merced Street, it can be pretty noisy and the windows are far from sound-proof.
All in all a good deal with good value for money. Note that there are several providers who rent appartments in the same compound, all offering more or mess the same service but at different rates. So better compare well in order to find the best deal. I stayed in the compound on two different occasions and with different providers (see my review .
You can book through a booking engine, but if you contact them directly, you may be able to get a discount.

Room Tip: Avoid appartments facing Merced street because of the noise

We had a great stay here, for one night at the beginning of our trip and another 3 at the end. The rooms were spacious and clean, wifi worked perfectly and staff was very helpful.

Sophia did a great job answering our many, many questions and went the extra mile to help us organize activities outside the city, always sending us useful emails even on short notice.

Would definitely recommend this place.
Thanks Sophia!

Clean and very big room with nice kitchenette separate bedroom. This hotel is a huge apartment complex where some people live for a longer period of time. Staff was friendly and ready to help in whatever we needed. The front desk people didn't have good English skills but their office had people who spoke English. Really good value for money with a bit less than 50e per night.
The only complaint I'd point out was the noise in the evening. This might be a problem for some people but we were OK with it. Our room faced the inside yard of the apartments and everybody had their windows open and some people were partying bit over midnight. We would have liked to keep our windows open but we decided to close them in order to decrease the noise. Then we turned on our noisy fan which was a better type of noise than randomly yelling people who are drinking. Earplugs on top of this and we didn't have problems in sleeping :)
I would come back here if I get a chance to get back to Santiago.

This property is literally in the heart of Santiago. Close enough to walk to just about everything you need to see on a short trip to Santiago. The rooms and buildings are modern - and the staff are very friendly. These are condo's so there are kitchens in every unit. No outdoor pool as indicated - and had some problems with the internet. Also there is a great grocery store right outside the door

Positives:
Friendly Staff
Location Location Location
Kitchenette
grocery store just outside
Room amenities

Negatives:
No airconditioning
Had a lot of trouble with the internet
Pool - although it says there is an outdoor pool - there is not - its indoor, but has large windows that open

I stayed there close to two weeks. Amazingly good price. A full appartment, very quiet, specially if you are at the 15th and up floors. Wide windows like patio doors. Modern furniture. Good bed. Well cleaned. Very helpful people. The huge grocery store just down at ground level. They accept ATM card. Very convenient. The only sad thing, the swimming pool was not open.
