It is a small but cozy restaurant, with a small menu. The food is quite good, and the service is fast and friendly. We had samosas, chicken curry, paratha (which actually was more like a roti), lassi and gulab jamun. Very nice food, it was definitely an unexpected place. I would recommend having an appetizer and a main course, which were all good size and price, and skip the desserts that were not that impressive. It is worth a visit and we are coming back for sure.

My wife and I are trying the different curry restaurants in Santiago. We have tried this place just once, but will return. This cafe type place is very popular with the lunch crowd so be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes for a table. There is a set menu for 3,600 pesos. The curry choice is chicken or veggie. It comes with a thin paratha bread, rice, salad (lettuce, carrot, sweetcorn) and a soft drink. There is a menu too. Curries (about 8 varieties) are 3,600 to 4,300 each. Samosas, chicken tikka and fried fish are available as starters. There are a couple of desserts, two biryani dishes and two types of bread.

Its not the best flavoured curry but for the price it is excellent value. Staff are very friendly and service quick and efficient.

great spot! cheap and cheerful hole-in-the-wall kinda place. good lunch specials. odd hours though, open 12:45-16:00 and 18:30-22:00 weekdays, 12:45-16:00 saturdays, and closed on sundays. very friendly people and authentic chai

We'd noticed that a little unassuming cafe place across the road from where we were staying was always full and decided to investigate! Labelled a 'Hindu' restaurant we were intruiged why such a small, basic looking place could attract so much custom. It turns out it because the staff are wonderfully friendly and their Indian food is simply delicious! There is a fairly limited menu, including kormas, biryanis, and 'curry' but you are asked how spicy you would like your dish to be; mild, medium or hot. I opted for medium which was perfect - enough to feel the heat but not so hot that your lips tingled!! the decor is very basic and it's not the sort of place you want to linger in the whole evening (no alcohol for a start!) but for a decent lunch or dinner it's great. A main dish each, accompanied by chapatis, rice and samosas along with 2 soft drink each came to around £25. A really great find - highly recommended.

As trip advisor asks for ratings of 'atmosphere', 'romance' and 'special occasions', New Horizons will never get a 'top' score - but for service, food and value it's top notch!

This place is close to our home, so we go here once every two weeks or so. There are only a handful of tables, so it gets very busy and you might end up waiting a while for a free table. The restaurant is frankly quite ugly inside, but the good food makes up for that.

If you choose the affordable lunch menu, you first get a small starter salad and a free drink. For the main, you can choose between a chicken or vegetable dish, either mild, medium or spicy. We've tried mild and medium, neither of which was at all spicy.

I really recommend this place for a quick, cheap and good lunch!
