We went to Jewel of India for dinner on the 2nd day of our visit to Santiago, Chile. The owner Rakesh is extremely nice and gave us a warm welcome. We did not expect the exhaustive list of Indian dishes in appetizers-entrees-dessert that was on the menu. We were delighted to find traditional dishes which are sometimes hard to find even in good NYC Indian restaurants. Jewel of India was as authentic as can be in its decor and food. Freshly made kababs, tikkas, rotis and entrees were finger licking good. Even the cutlery was custom Indian design. The owner is quite friendly and he gave us good recommendations. All in all, a great Indian restaurant comparable to the best all over the world. A must go, if you are in Santiago.
