We went to Jewel of India to celebrate my friends birthday. We got the warmest welcome, excellent food and great service. Reserve ahead to get table in the courtyard.

“Sharing a meal and being served with profound Love and Attention”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We were a group looking for some Indian and vegetarian meal in my case. When we arrived at the restaurant where the energy felt so warm and welcoming, we were greeted by Rakesh himself, owner of the restaurant. WE felt so much at home, that we asked him to choose what he wanted to feed us as we trusted him completely.
We did the right choice, everything was PERFECT. After Rakesh took us to a tour in the kitchen where everything is made fresh and showed us how naam bread was made.
Since I was leaving next day on flight Rakesh made me special chapatis for the trip.
Felt like being at home.
Uncle, I can still "taste" the Love that you showered on us. Thank you.

“A welcome relief from the bland”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Desperate for some food with spice and flavor, we looked on Trip Advisor and chose the Jewel of India. Arriving for lunch, at first we weren't sure if it was open, as there was no one in the nicely appointed waiting area out front and in the front dining rooms. But then someone appeared and asked us to wait a minute. A minute later the owner Rakesh appeared to welcome us to his restuarant with a warm greeting. He lead us through the empty interior dining room to the beautifully decorated courtyard where we were seated. Service was attentive and excellent. The menu was quite varied, and we tried a couple vegitarian and chicken dishes. They were quite good, but a bit timid for my taste in Indian food, which I prefer to be bold and spicy. Rakesh checked in with us a couple of times and was delightful. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience. I held back one star because the food was not on par with the best Indian food I have eaten and because it was comparably more expensive too.
