Situated in heart of Lastarria district, our pick for the best dining in Santiago, Lastarria Boutique Hotel is a gem! Wonderful staff who will do anything for you. We had the Junior Suite for 5 nights and enjoyed the comfort. Quiet day and night but still within easy walk of good restaurant and bars.

Stayed two nights, the location is within 5 to 10 minutes walk to a great choice of lots of bars and restaurants. The underground train system is less than 5 minutes walk away.
The room was a good size with very modern clean bathroom. All the usual luxuries, nice flat screen TV, room safe and minibar.
Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
There is a small very clean swimming pool, be aware there are only several sun loungers shadowed by plants and only very limited sun if you want to relax.
Would stay again if ever in Santiago.

What I Liked Most: Location is close to loads of nice restaurants

What I Liked Least: Small rooms, weak customer service

Stayed here for one night. The hotel does not appear impressive at first. The lobby is, shall we say, understated. The room - we had a "suite" - was not spacious, and not immediately identifiable as a suite, although apparently it is one of the larger rooms. It was clean and nicely furnished.

There is a pool in the garden, which doubles as a nice outlook from where breakfast is served. One does not expect an elaborate breakfast in a hotel of this size, though there was a decent selection of cold cuts. Coffee was served fresh without having to ask, unlike the normal stewed stuff. Trouble was, they were completely overwhelmed by the number of guests. The gratefully-received offer of eggs any-way-we-liked led to us ordering 2 fried eggs. We gave up waiting after 45 minutes.

The lunch menu is restricted to a few salads and sandwiches. This is understandable as they do not market themselves as a restaurant and do not have high turnover. This means one would expect that the ingredients could therefore be fresh, yet the bread was stale.

Our request to check-out 45 minutes late was swept aside unceremoniously and officiously by the matronly receptionist, as if they were going to start cleaning all rooms at exactly 12.00. Be careful on the exorbitant mini-bar charges, and bring your own bottle-opener as it is policy not to put any in the rooms.

I know I'm not the first to observe, but the floor surfaces create a lot of noise. The "health centre" is a misnomer: there is simply a treadmill and a bike.

As a group of six we took three rooms. All different but common in that they all had the most comfy beds and quality linen, Exceptionally clean and well appointed, free fast wifi and good hot showers. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. If you ask they will cook you eggs any way you choose and they made excellent coffee which had been lacking elsewhere! There is a beautiful complimentary afternoon tea served with homemade cakes and sandwiches. We had dinner here one night and although the menu is limited with specialty sandwiches and salads we ordered a cheese and meats board to share then a fantastic Caesar salad with smoked salmon and found it to be a perfect meal that went down well with a bottle of local wine! Yes the floor boards creak but that really is the only negative. The staff are fantastic and friendly and everyone on the front desk speaks English. They helped us with taxis transfers tour suggestions and restaurant recommendations and every time their advice was spot on. A small friendly boutique hotel that we will definitely return do.

Room Tip: Take a suite for more spacious room as this is an old house converted into a hotel.

Lovely location and surroundings, our room was perhaps the smallest available but the bed was comfy, the room gets dark for a good rest and sleep in and the bathroom comes with a great shower. Not the cheapest but highly recommend, In a good locale and the staff very friendly.

Room Tip: If you have lots of luggage and don't like small spaces then choose a Suite!

Ideally located boutique hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was beautifully appointed and our room was of generous proportions with a large bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast and lunch are available on a daily basis.

We enjoyed our short stay but there was one problem which spoilt the overall serenity of the hotel. Every floor board in the hotel squeeked and you could hear guests coming from a great distance. Even if you tried to standstill the boards would creak which is a shame as otherwise it is a great place to stay.So if you are a light sleeper thismay not be the place for you.

Room Tip: Apart from the problems with the floor boards we were located at the back of the hotel and it was ve...

If you are looking for the sort of facilities you get at a Sheraton, Marriott or a Radisson or similar, don't come here. There's no gym, a very small and cold outside pool, no restaurant and limited breakfasts. However, it does have very nice, clean rooms with decent showers. We also found the receptionists to be very helpful. It is located close to the centre of Santiago, with decent restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions all within 5-10 minutes walk.
