“Great hotel, funky location”

I stayed here overnight waiting for a friend to arrive the next day. The hotel is in an out-of-the-way, desolate location. Arriving at night was nothing short of creepy.

The hotel on the other hand was quite nice. The room was clean, modern, spacious and reminds you of the Westin chain. Didn't stay for any meals, so won't comment on that.

Arriving at night, I found the check-in process to be quite slow. Waited over 30 minutes to get my key. If convenience/proximity to the airport is important to you, I would suggest the Holiday Inn. It's yards away from the front door of the airport and looks equally nice.

Very comfortable rooms and very clean. Also very handy for the airport. However the food in the restaurant was pretty disgusting and the service was pretty bad too. I saw the waitress looking for the most clean looking glass of all the dirty ones they had backed up to put my beer in.

Room Tip: The wheelchair access rooms have impossible showers so I would refuse to stay in one again.

Well appointed hotel that seems to cater to the conference market, airline staff and in transit traveller. Ask for a room that provides the uninterrupted views of the city - it looks like a postcard lit up at night. Very comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom.

Extensive choice of breakfast menu that was included in the room rate. Menu for evening meals was broad however the meal was average to good. The bar man and wait staff were friendly and helpful.

The only down side is the location of the hotel. While only a few minutes (free transfer) from the airport it is not within walking distance of any other places to eat or visit. The rating of very good is given for the proximity to the airport, not other attractions. This hotel knows its market and caters to it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that provides the uninterrupted views of the city.

A great hotel for airport stay. It was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and attentive. It is approx 5 min drive from the airport,and a free shuttle service was provided. It is 25 min drive into the city.

The Hilton Garden Inn is about a five minute free shuttle from the Santiago International Airport. On arrival, a taxi company takes you to the hotel (no charge) in a shared ride; the return to the airport is via the hotel van. The hotel sits in an industrial area, don't expect to be able to walk to any stores as there is nothing around.

Check-in was quite efficient and the rooms are very nicely decorated. They are fair sized and all the furnishings are updated and look good. Beds are the typical Garden Inn adjustable type which I found very comfortable. AC worked quite well. Desk was comfortable to do some work at and internet service was above average in speed. Need to print something? The lobby has PCs available to print from. There is a hot water pot for coffee/tea service and water bottles placed in the rooms along with a small refrigerator.

There was no noise issue even as planes take-off nearly overhead, I didn't notice them at night.

Breakfast was a nice buffet with lots of options in a pleasant setting.

For an airport property, the rates were quite reasonable and while not directly at the terminal, the ease of getting in and out combined with no cost makes this a great choice for anyone needing to stay near the airport in an enjoyable setting.

Room Tip: The king bed rooms at the ends of the hallways on each floor are a little more spacious.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn three times during our trip to Chile.

How to get there. Super easy and free. On arrival you go a Transvip counter (either in the luggage hall or just outside) and let them know you are going to the Hilton. They give you a free ticket and you head outside for the mini van. Within 15minutes you are at the Hilton (and that is guaranteed) - we waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 9 minutes. The return to the airport is even easier with Hilton vans/cars leaving on the hour and half hour. If you prefer to drive (which we also did), there is lots of parking at the Hilton, in their free secure carpark.

In terms of the hotel itself - brand new ! Whisper quiet with lush carpets and extremely comfortable large beds. There is a gym, which overlooks the enticing swimming pool. Ice machines on all levels AND laundry also available.

And the staff, particularly Cynthia (Front Office Manager) has such an amazing dedication to customer service. They act on all feedback and with a smile. The team on our final night's stay before we flew home to Australia were very engaging, very "Hilton". And Cynthia's personal touch - was a real treat and a wonderful end to a fantastic two weeks in Chile.

The hotel is NOT directly at the airport. 15 minutes with shuttle. Rooms are ok, regular Hilton-Standard.

But service is ridiculous. When I arrived by taxi iwth a lot of luggage, the bellboy preferred to have a chat with a colleague instead of helping me.

Next bad surprise is the restauarant. Its only amateurs working there. It took me 20 minutes to get the menu. I had to wait another 70 minutes until food was served.

Only Internet is slower than the service. WiFi is slower than Modem-connection in the year 2000.
