Offers a great diversity of sandwiches, a unique experience to taste some very unusual sandwiches. Some of them are very Chilean and some of them aim to satisfy a certain personality. The ambient is very nice, the bar is just beautiful, the music is very good -only spanish speaking songs- and the starters are great. A must!

I've been to Ciudad Vieja two or three times this year. There is a very important, ubiquituous sandwich culture in Chile, but finding innovations is hard. This place is completely innovative, while cooks use traditional, everyday Chilean ingredients. Sandwiches here are simply delicious. The fried merluza sandwich was perfect. Plus, atmosphere is fantastic and prices are really reasonable.

The only problem is that the place is always crowded, so we've been able to get a seat only once out of 5 times we've tried! Also, I guess that's why waiters look busy all the time. I'm not sure if they take reservations... Anyways, it is worth to try.

Of course any trip to Santiago must include an evening in the street cafes and clubs of Bellavista... although slightly touristy, it is an easy ride via cab or Metro, and well worth the people watching. Walking through Bellavista on the eve of my arrival, I stumbled upon this corner gem. As a single traveler that day, finding places that you can eat alone are difficult in Latin America, but this place had a bar with food service. Amazing selection of wines, and an extensive selection of German/Belgian beers as compared to most drinking holes in Santiago. Woodsy interior with low lighting and chill music sets the mood. Place will be busy, so arrive late or early, but expect loud conversation noise.

Definitely recommend the Minero sandwich paired with a good belgian, and if local, a dark Kuntsmann will be excellent. Pictures included in this review.
