I hated the place.
Rooms are rather large and they look as if they were decorated by Pedro Almodovar. Corridors and halls look like a university dorm. The carpet in my room was so dirty and with all sorts of stains that I really missed not bringing my slippers with me. Just terrible.
The day I checked out I had to catch a 7 o'clock flight and I got to shower with cold water because nobody mentioned to me that I had to turn the water heater on! (Yes, as ridiculous as this might sound there was a water heater in the room and you were supposed to operate it!).
Definetely a terrible experience.

Room Tip: Ask if the water heater in your room is on, otherwise you'll shower yourself as a monk.

The hotel location is in a middle income neighborhood close to universities. The nearest restaurant/cafe area is Lastarria, about a 10 minute walk. The rooms are quite nice although basic. Kitchen facilities are good - Stove with oven, Microwave, small fridge, electric kettle and toaster. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant includes breads, fruit, juices, yogurts, meat + cheese, scrambled eggs and and potatoes. Staff at reception are all very pleasant and helpful. Wifi internet is good. They have fixed the "no hot water" issue but the shower pressure was not very good. There is definitely an issue with the people who clean the rooms. They do not understand "do not disturb" and if you stay here be sure not to leave any valuables lying around even if the "do not disturb" sign is on the door. My biggest complaint is that you can hear dogs yapping from all over the neighborhood, all day and all night long! Not the hotel's fault!

The hotel is really clean and the staff is all very polite and helpful. It's within a walking distance to Centro (downtown) and not far from the restaurants in Bella Vista and Providencia. Also close to a metro station.

Breakfast is really good and my wife really enjoyed the medialunas there. The neighbourhood is good and there are street fairs in the evening a couple of blocks away. We'd definetely stay there again were we to go back to Santiago.

I did not like this hotel. There was no hot water and water was freezing. I went in June, their winter time. I would call to reception and no one answered. Also, I really didn't like that the person that restocks the mini bar just opened the door without knocking. I was changing and my wife was showering. I told him to get out. As what I heard from locals was that the area was not a safe place. You have to walk three to four blocks to get to the metro. Thankfully nothing happen. There is a lot of graffiti.Checkout was at noon and the cleaning lady asked us to get out at 10:00am. I had to tell her checkout was at noon. Furthermore, the building is under construction and there is a school next to it or something like a school and they had music playing all day.

We were surprised to find that our room was a full apartment. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a full equiped kitchen (you just have to ask for cutlery and stuff if you want to cook, amazing!). An advice: have a breakfast on the top floor! 360o stumbling view of Santiago and the Andes Mountains. Good location, best wi-fi, and friendly staff!
