This hostel is pretty new, I'm not even sure it has one year. And they didn't tried to build something cheap : everything is nearly perfect, from the room to the common space. There is a big terrace on the roof where you have a fantastic view. Moreover, you have access to a big kitchen, a nice living room and a barbecue. The breakfast was great too! And the people who works there are really nice!

This hostel couldn't have been better situated. It's directly on Pio Nono, which is fantastic street with restaurant and bars. Moreover, there is a really nice outdoor shopping center right on the other side of the building. Finally, the most important park of the city is 500 meters away.

We took a twin room with shared bathroom. This was a good idea, because there is one bathroom for only two rooms. Moreover, our room had a private balcony! But this room is directly on Pio Nono, which is extremly noisy. And the biggest problem is that there is no way to have fresh air, except if you open the window. My ear plugs were useful!

In the final, I would go back there without a doubt!

Room Tip: If you want to save money, take a room with a shared bathroom.

“Me and my boyfriend have traveled to many countries and H Rado is definitly one of the best Hostels we have stayed. Its even better then many Hotels. It has a perfect location, just beside the Patio Bella Vista, close to the City Center and all Santiago´s tourist points. Everytinh is brand new and really clean.!The staff is the best, mainly Pablo and Caren. I´ve had some troubles in Santiago and they were very kind to us, making much more then we could expect. We totaly recomend it!!!!! ”

Get here whilst it's undiscovered! It's a brand new hostel in a perfect location for seeing the main sights of the city. The staff are great, it's very clean and very modern. I've never had such a professional breakfast service at a hotel, let alone a hostel before. A great perk is the rooftop terrace which could be part of a 5* hotel, it's been done very well and has amazing views of Cerro San Cristobal. There is lots of nightlife in the area to keep you entertained in the evenings.

We were so fortunate because we choose this hostel to spend our honeymoon in Santiago. They are extremely well located, the staff is 100% helpful, the rooms are all clean, the design couldn't be better, the view is breathtaking, breakfast is wonderful and happily served by Gladys and they still have the Sandwich Club next door with discount for guests (one of the best sandwiches of the city). A must see in Santiago/Chile. We recommend and will certainly stay there again!

This hostel is incredible. Having travelled around South America for a couple of months I was totally blown away by the quality and finish of this place. Newly opened, the facilites are of a very high standard, not only providing dorm essentials such as spacious and secure lockers, reading lamps, hot and super powerful showers but also going the extra mile with details such as larger single beds, good quality and extra comfy mattresses and fluffy white towels (I was astounded to be given a large bath towel, hand towel and bath mat on my arrival).

Another inviting feature of this hostel is the character introduced by rock themed art in the dorms and in the communal areas. This is all very tasteful, not intrusive but adds a certain something to an otherwise minimilist approach meaning the vibe is cool rather than cold. The communal areas include a large, airy, modernly designed and well equiped kitchen with high spec appliances and dining table; a roof top terrace complete with comfy furniture and asado; two areas for lounging, both with fancy tv and plush sofas and a computer area.

The staff here go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Karen on reception has helped me improve my Spanish and offered to take me on a free cycling tour of the city, Pablo (the owner) introduced himself to me and told me about his passion for travel and why he wanted to create a top notch facility for travellers to his city and the ladies who look after you at breakfast are keen to make sure you really are full for the day before you leave the table!

Located in Bellavista, this hostel is a perfect base to explore the city and enjoy great restaurants and a decent night life (all at pretty reasonable prices given the university is located in the neighbourhood). The owner also has a restaurant next to the hostel, already very reasonably priced, he gives guests at the hostel 30% discount and a complimentary welcome drink. The food there is great.

All in all, this place feels like a travellers paradise. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
