I wanted to visit this museum to learn more about Pinochet and his regime and was not disappointed. The building itself is very attractive and the displays - including video footage and remarkable photographic and archival evidence - paint a vivid picture. Not to be missed.

Basically if you like your modern history, this is a must when in Santiago. I wish I could have spent more time here. While a lot of things are in Spanish, there is ample material in English to stimulate your mind. Allow a half day.

The set up is very similar to museum of tolerance, it is very interactive. It was sad to hear and see testimonials from the fascist regime of Pinochet. Museum full of pictures, exhibits and all for free. I spent two hours watching all the videos and looking at their wall honoring those who died. A perfect place to learn about Chilean history. I highly recommend it.

This museo does not get enough credit - it is a must visit as it gives you the chance to learn about an important chapter of Chilean history. It is very well done with videos, photos, and artifacts from the Pinochet's dictatorship. The museum should serve as a reminder to future generations, even though, it's a "tough" place to visit. Never forget!

Large museum of five floors. The first floor was in Spanish but the second floor had some English and we spent a lot of time looking and reading there. There are elevators but there is a lot of standing and not many places to sit. I could have stayed much longer had I been able to rest here and there. It was somber and quiet when we arrived after lunch with few visitors. When we left after a couple of hours it was pretty busy. It is directly across from the metro.
