I was staying at the W and a colleague of mine from Perù suggested to have lunch in this peruvian/japanese restaurant. Fantastic experience. The only real good experience at the W.
It's a little pricey of course but.... so good that you forget this detail soon.
Try the chevice and the rools. The miso soup is delicious.

Excellent food. The best of this kind in Santiago. It is located in the W Hotel. Great ambiance and special for an important dinner. Pricey but it worth it for sure.

In my humble opinion this is by far the best asian peruvian fusion restaurant.

The decor is very modern (W hotel style - obviously as it is in the W). Food is ALWAYS excellent, have eaten there more than 10 times and never left disappointed.

I find their sushi excellent, believe that it is up there with the best sushi in Santiago if not the best.
Their low here is that they never have maguro (tuna) as they say they can never get tuna that meets their quality standards.

When you go to Osaka I recommend getting some sushi as a starter (fav rolls are the cebiche roll and their is a roll with shrimp, cream cheese, wrapped in salmon with a lime on top, and doused with a type of teryiaki sause, very very good.).

To drink definitely try their mint and ginger lemonade. Pisco sour very good too.

The only down side is the price, it is definitely, not cheap and one of the most expensive restaurants in Santiago, if $$ not an issue you wont be disappointed.

Osaka is one of the W Santiago restaurants.
The place is nicely decorated, it feels like an oasis in this busy Santiago corner, low lights and soft music.
The Japanese-peruvian cuisine is excellent, mixing flavors from both cultures.
The only glitch: it's pricey, but worth the splurge.

Having relocated to Santiago from Australia, I'm enjoying eating my way around the city. Osaka is one of my favorites. Went back last night and we took up the waiter's offer of a tasting menu. Everything was perfectly prepared, presented and was delicious. Wait staff were very attentive without being over familiar which we have experienced here. You can't compare to la mar (another fav) or astrid y gaston as the styles are so different. Other raters have commented on the price, yet I felt the bill (75 CLP without tip for two) was pretty standard for this type of establishment. Highly recommend for a relaxed, yet stylish dining experience.
