“EL MORADO TREKKING / SAN FRANCISCO GLACIER / BANOS COLINAS HOT SPRINGS”

A fantastic day trip out of Santiago! Our driver Pablo picked us up in a luxury VW van - which was ideal for the terrain - giving a very smooth ride. Our guide Peter gave us excellent insights as well. The El Morado valley is absolutely stunning. We had a beautiful sunny day and covered the hike up to the mineral springs that look out at the San Francisco Glacier in only 2.5 hours. The mineral water that bubbles out of the ground is effervescent and tastes exactly like sparkling mineral out of bottle. We then went another 45 minutes further up the valley to the Banos Colinas Hot Springs - which also were stunning. You soak in the aqua mineral-water thermal pools looking out at the gorgeous mountain scenery. The first pool we tried was a bit too hot, but the next one was perfect! One of the best tourist outings I have done!

“Great wine tour with a great guide!”

We took a tour of the Aconcagua Valley with our guide, Chris. He was knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable! the itinerary of wineries was top notch. I'd recommend Santiago Adventures and would happily use them again.

“First Rate Service”

Santiago Adventures helped us book our visit to Chile. We went on their 1/2 day tour of Santiago and then the 2 day tour of 2 vineyards in Casablanca Valley as well as Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. The drivers and tour guides were excellent. They had a deep knowledge of the areas we visited and their English speaking skills were very good. The private tour of the vineyards and the wine tastings were also of a very high standard. The lunches were at fabulous restaurants. The food was very good but be warned, they are very big meals!
Victor at Santiago Adventures helped us book in country flights to La Serena, arranged for airport transport, auto rental and accommodations. His detailed email communication was excellent and all our arrangements were flawless.
I would definitely work with Santiago Adventures if we ever visit Chile again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

“Thank you so much!”

I recently conducted an educational seminar in Santiago Chile and used Santiago Adventures as my tour company. All I can say is WOW!

First, SA connected us with a personal assistant who was available day and night to assist us throughout the week. They were flexible and organized. I have been doing business and travel in Latin America and have gotten used to the typical tardiness of the culture and was prepared for it on this trip as well. However that was not the case. Our assistant made sure the buses were at the hotel 15-20 minutes early every time we needed them. When it came to organizing meals we were treated to top quality local restaurants that served their best.

Second, they connected us with a GREAT travel guide. She made sure we knew the history and current events during our trip. She was aware of our needs and made sure we were well educated on the culture and climate of Chile.

There was no cutting of corners, they didn't hold back and it even seemed like they worked to provide the smallest detail (they gave me a local cell phone to use while I was in country in case I needed to get in contact with them) in order to make our trip even more pleasant.

If you are planning a trip to Santiago any time soon with a group or on your own it would benefit you to use their services.

“Best trip south ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

This was our 4th trip to Chile for summer skiing and the best one yet! We had the good fortune to find Santiago Adventures 3 years ago, and have relied on them for our annual trips ever since. Our grasp of the Spanish language is minimal at best (but working on it) so we really needed some guidance/help planning our trips. They took our vague list of "things we wanted to do & see" and formulated a wonderful adventure for us.
Brian's suggestions of Powder Lodge and the wine tasting after skiing on Friday were perfect. Our billingual driver Manuel was charming & extremely knowledgeable-he could help translate as well as give background on the different varieties, vineyards, and various sights on the way up and down from Farrellones. I didn't even fall asleep on the drive (I usually can't help it).
Even though we have never met, I feel like Brian knows us and anticipates our every want/need. We look forward to many more ski trips with Santiago adventures at the helm.
