“Great location and set up for an extended stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

Even after the reviews it took us a while to find the front desk. (room 203 on the second floor) as it is an apartment and the name of the hotel is nowhere to be seen.
Rooms have a kitchen and separate bed room and so would be ideal for a longer stay. The staff was very helpful and delivered our cold breakfast the night before so we could eat at our leisure. The location is on a major street and is only 2 minutes to the subway.

You may find strange at first because the hotel, actually an apart hotel, is located inside a residential building. The front desk is an apartment at the second floor.

The room is nice, cozy and clean. It has a full kitchen with microwave, oven, cooktop, silverware, corkscrew (ideal for Chilean wine), glasses, etc...

About the size, it's perfect for two. With a living room with sofa and chair, lots of wardrobes and a nice king size bed. Be careful about the bathroom, as the bathtub is a little high above the ground and you can hurt yourself while leaving the shower.

The staff is nice and polite. They speak english and are available at all times.

The hotel is just 2 min walk from the metro, which is by far the best way to go to other places in town.

The downside:
The elevators... they just keep "parannnn" with that annoying noise. You can hear that chime all the time whenever it stops at any floor.

The noise and privacy from lower floors. You need to stay with the curtains closed for some privacy, as there is a large bus stop and the metro entrance right in front of the building.

----

Certainly I would stay here again, but in a higher floor.

Room Tip: High floor and away from the elevators.

This hoteles was fine but nothing outu of the ordinary. The location is good if you need to use the metro but there are not many restaurants or shops close by. It was nice having a kichen for our week stay and there is a minmart as well as a Uni full grocery store close by. The metro stop also has some shops and take out places. The unit has very nice views from the balcony of the Andes (we lucked out with clear weather) but there is no outside furniture. The unit had a slight musty smell, especially the closets (all my clothes had this smell when I returned home) and they only provided one towel per guest. They were also low on glasses. Our unit slept four but only 2 wine glasses and 3 other glasses! As other reviewers has stated, the breakfast is not very good - mostly canned fruit and processed, sugarery cereal. The yogurt was good and we did eat that. Also, the phones and interet went out several times while we were there and it made it difficult to communicate with the people who brought us to Santiago for a conference. Also, getting dropped off is difficult as there is no drive for the hotel. You try buzzing the reception for the buliding but they were not very happy to let the car into the lot or jump out quickly in front which is also the bus lane for the metro-bus stop nextdoor. If you want a kitchen and need some space or are staying for a long visit, then this place is ok but I think overpriced for what they offer and next time I visit Santiago, I will book a boutique hotel or look for another apartment-hotel option.

Room Tip: Ask for a unit on the back side as the street is very busy and noisy.

Great rate, very comfortable room, great view to the city, good service, free WiFi, very very convenient location close to the metro station, bus and taxi service... and a few blocks from a very nice shopping center. Safe area. I do recommend to stay at this hotel.
