Description: In the heart of Providencia in 2010, Bistromania was born: a simple idea in a welcoming environment mixing old-time gastronomy with the great French classics. By bringing a slice of France to Chile, our goal was to conquer Chilean tastebuds and to take travelling French palates back home with our gourmet dishes in the bistrot style.Gaetan Eonet and his team invite you to their world, a simple space that reminds you of home, to discover or return to those traditional flavors...Welcome and... bon appetit !

Sorry to say, but Santiago is not a fine dining city. You can pay a lot for a mediocre meal. In this context, Le Bistrot is by far the best value, and quite possibly the best restaurant in the city. Busy, sometimes noisy, and you will need a reservation for Friday and Saturday nights. But the service is warm, the food ranges from good to world class, the wine list is solid, and the prices are outstanding. You would have to pay 3 or 4 times this to get food of similar quality, and have to put up with snotty service in the bargin. I would rather the simple warmth of the Bistrot any night. And if you want passably authentic French Cusine in Santiago, this is your only option.

Great for a dinner with a small group of friends, outstanding for a romantic night for two. If you want a little bit of a quieter experience, try going late afternoon on Saturday, after lunch and before supper.

I love the bistrot, I have been there a couple of times and I'm always pleased with my choices. Prices are reasonable for Santiago and service is excellent. Will definitely go back.

This is a great place where one imagines dining in Paris. The food is wonderful cooked with precision, service and atmosphere is very Parisian. I truly recomend this restaurant especially the Endive Roquefort Salad and the Duck a la Orange. Don´t forget to make a reservation as it is always full.
Enjoy!

Three of us dined at Le Bistrot (in late March) on the recommendation of an acquaintance from Santiago. We all had the wonderful salad with endive, walnuts, blue cheese, and ??? (I wish I could remember all of it!) I had the house speciality duck breast and the other two had beef tenderloins. The servings were substantial. Everything was perfect.

When we returned to Santiago after our sightseeing, we dined again on our last night in Chile. What better recommendation could there be than a return visit. Again, it was great. In addition to the quality of the food, we were equally impressed with the wine list. Very reasonable dining - especially for French food.

On both of the occasions, we asked to be seated outside since the weather was perfect for al fresco dining. The quiet courtyard adds to the pleasant atmosphere. It's hard to believe you're in the middle of bustling Santiago.

As typical with Santiago evening dining, the place doesn't get crowded with customers until around 8:30 pm. Be sure to get reservations. It's gets full by 9:00 - 9:30 pm.
