Stayed in this hotel twice on business. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and well appointed. The service at the front desk was always very quick and professional. The speak English very well.

The rooms facing the pool get the afternoon sun and heat up. The first time I stayed, the room AC had difficulty keeping the room cool during the day. At night, it was not a problem. The hot food at the breakfast buffet was poor quality although there were plenty of fresh fruit, breads, meat and cheese. I had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant and both were excellent.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the pool has a nicer view, but make sure you get one with a good AC in the warmer m...

One problem for business travellers who visit Chile is that most flights arrive early in the morning. Fortunately, for me, the hotel was able to offer me a room on arrival which was most welcome. The rooms was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The staff, friendly and helpful.

I didn't eat in the restaurant but the outdoor seating areas were a delight in the December summer heat (I just enjoyed typing December and summer in the same sentence).

My only complaint would be that the sinks were clearly not specified by a wet shaver. They look very trendy but not desperately practical.

Would I come back? Given the location, which was ideal for my meetings, almost certainly.

Room Tip: Always be nice to the reception staff

I stayed in this hotel in october for some days and had a good time. But arriving at the airport i realised i forgot my 500€ jacket in the hotel. I immediately called and emailed them and they answered me they found it and are going to send it to me.

Since this time, 2 months today, the hotel didnt answer to any of my emails or calls. I tried it 7 times. This is unacceptable for a Radisson Hotel and i really cant recommend a hotel witch such an akward service!

Stayed there for 2 nights on a business trip. Got an early check-in and a late check-out!
Besides a distant location from the city center the stay was next to perfect.
The hotel has a convenient access, close to a highway crossing the city. Still, be prepared for a 20-30 min and US$15-20 taxi drive to get to the city.
The room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed with a choice of pillows.
Modern decor. A bit too modern with bath and toilet not really separated from the room.
Rich and tasty breakfast.
Had some problems with the Internet connection at the beginning. I believe it was restarted later, and worked fine from there on.
Nice business and residential surrounding, a shopping mall across the street, as well as several restaurants next door.
If you don't mind distant location, highly recommended.

Much much nicer than Radissons in the U.S.

Great location across from a very nice mall and near by some great eateries. Very thoughtful staff and most speak English as well. Gym was also a nice surprise. Breakfast buffet does not change much yet the good quality is high.

My wife and I stayed here in November 2013. The rooms are very clean and the hotel staff extremely warm, helpful, and responsive. The hotel was only about 1 1/2 years old and a sincere attempt was made to make it very modern: solid concrete construction walls, a huge 6 story atrium, and rooms appointed in black, white, and gray. The bathroom area is separated from the bedroom area essentially by an "island" sink/vanity wall. So there the bathroom area is essentially open to the rest of the room. This includes the shower and toilet "stalls" that have smoked glass but no real privacy whenever you do what one typically does in those areas ... if you get my drift. So it is VERY modern in styling. So understand that ANY noise (right down to dropping a pin) you make in the bathroom area is clearly heard throughout the rest of the hotel room, especially due to the concrete wall construction.

If you are alone it isn't a problem. If you are with your spouse of several decades it is not a problem. But if you would be there as a businessperson and wanting to conduct some meetings in your hotel room, this would definitely be a problem.

And the lighting above the bathroom sink is very weak. If you want to get a close shave or apply makeup, prepare to be extremely frustrated.

Those issues aside, the bed was extremely comfortable and the personal workspace for writing notes or using your laptop very spacious. The wi-fi works well and fairly fast and is free. A buffet breakfast was also included in my reservation (and probably every room you reserve). It is very convenient and open early (from before any time I wanted to get up) until about 10:30AM.

No ice machines but call room service ... and about as fast as you hang up the phone someone will be there with a bucket of ice. Maid service of your room happens consistently when you want it.

I was a bit concerned that my poor Spanish skills were going to make many things difficult. Not a problem! The professionals at this Radisson all speak English. But I got a chance to try speaking with them in Spanish and to a one, they all smiled but did not laugh. Use it as a chance to improve your Spanish speaking skills! It was fun.

The location of the hotel was outstanding for us but is about a 15 minute taxi/drive outside of central Santiago. But we were visiting friends so it was not an issue. There is an outstanding Mall right across the street with literally everything in it (from a Home Depot type store to a FULL service Walmart type of store with groceries, clothes, wine, etc). There is also a gas station immediately across the street that also has a "7-11" type of convenience store and quick service food. While using your MasterCard in the Mall was easy, you may want to make sure you have some Chilean pesos for small items in the gas station.

My ONLY BIG problem with the Radisson Petra was that they have not addressed the big lights on the business complex immediately next to it. Our room was on the 5th floor and bright lights still shined into it. Unless you want to close all the shears and blinds and live like a mole in a hole, the Radisson should get them to shield their lights and focus them downward. After all, what security is provided that complex by flooding a hotel's bedroom areas with light FIVE stories up? We were able to work around the problem but it is still unacceptable. I addressed the issue with the Radisson's management so maybe it will be fixed by the time you stay there.

On the other hand, request a mountain view room as you will prefer that view. But you may get some noise from the downstairs outside drink lounge unless you are on its furthest rear facing rooms. There was some "air conditioning" or some sort of other operational interior hotel noise the first night but then it was gone for the additional night of our stay.

They have a nice lobby are and downstairs meeting areas, although we did not use them. But they would be great for a business person. There was even a "mini-convention" going on while we were there ... but it was totally transparent to us as vacationers.

Overall, a good hotel but understand its design is very modern. It might be a problem if you are there on business wanting to conduct some meetings in your room. But with your spouse while on vacation with nobody else invited into your room, not a problem. Lights very strong outside; lights in the bathroom very weak.

Room Tip: Rooms with mountain views are numbered xx1 to x10; rooms facing the business complex next door are x...

This hotel is in a great location. There is a Mall right across the street with a grocery store attached! The mall has small boutiques as well as a big store comparable to U.S Macy. Everything is pricey. You can expect to pay more for the same thing you can get in the sates. The people in Chile are so nice and happy. WARNING: we took a private tour to the beach area about 1 1/2 hours from Santiago city center and while taking a quick picture (2 minutes at most) car window smashed in and purse was stolen! I was thankful it was only a carryon for flight and money and passport were in another bag...

Room Tip: We upgraded our room to a suite. Only $75 more a day. Bi shower with separate tub area. Decor was mo...
