We stayed at The Aubrey for one night as our last stop after 3 weeks in Peru snd Ecuador. Our stay was the best ending to our holiday thanks to the wonderful staff at The Aubrey. Thank you to Mark, William and Lucas and the breakfast staff for making our stay so enjoyable. The beauty of boutique hotels is that you're not just another guest. The staff made us feel like family. The hotel itself has been designed in a beautiful eclectic mix of modern, antique and vintage. The pool is stunning and the piano bar had a gorgeous atmosphere. If we return to Santiago we'll be back at The Aubrey.

I very much enjoyed this hotel. It's in a great neighbourhood with loads of dining and drinking options. I stayed in the new bit and liked the room though I wish it had bigger windows. Can't recall any hiccups at all. Was easy to get a late check out. Feels like you are almost the only person in this 15 room hotel. I would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: The new build at the back avoids any noise from Bella Vista and is modern. The main house is more t...

This was the third time we stayed at the Aubrey and each time we get the same welcoming treatment from the small group of staff that run this boutique hotel.

This time was the first visit we had in summer, and despite the hot weather, the Aubrey was cool and comfortable. It was our last night on a 4 week holiday and all we wanted to do was wind down, and this was the right place.

The staff even opened the bar on Sunday afternoon so our group could have some pisco sours whilst waiting to go to the airport.

If you're after the big anonymous hotel experience, this is not for you. But, for a calm and comfortable refuge in the middle of Santiago's hippest and busiest district for restaurants and bars, this is the place to go.

Stayed here in December 2013. The hotel was great, Chic and stylish decor, great position for exploring the area. The staff were all friendly and efficient, standout was the lovely lady running breakfast, Rachel I think, she was so friendly, jovial and efficient, great start to the day, she's a real gem. Room was good and pool nice to relax around after a hot day exploring.

The Aubrey experience was outright fantastic from the time we arrived until our departure. The Aubrey is situated in the Bellivista area which is a very happening spot. It is also within walking distance of centro Santiago. This was our first boutique experience but being on a first name basis with the staff and the general interest they in turn toke with us was great. Right from Victor at the front entrance to Lauren,Vivian and Diego at the front desk and Rachel and her crew in the restaurant and not forgetting others such as the cleaning staff etc. all were always friendly and made us feel at home. We had never in our travelling been greated by a hotel owner but we met Mark within minutes of our arrival and visited with him on a couple of other occasions. The pool area is again great with very good service. A very nice touch with the breakfast included and a very good selection along with menu items! We found the concierge survice very knowledgeable and helpful, and Mark himself is part of that service at times! We stayed 4 nights at the Aubrey and moved to the W downtown for 5 nights. What a disappointment and needless to say that will not happen again!
Therefore we would highly recommend The Aubrey and we wish Mark and his staff all the success they deserve and truly hope we can visit again. Thank you for introducing us to a personalized way of travelling!

We stayed here in mid-December. Although we just over-nighted, we had the best part of each day to spend in the area. Plenty of good restaurants in the immediate area, and sights to see. Room was very nicely done, and comfortable. Not huge, but still enough room. Fantastic pool and courtyard area. The service at breakfast was excellent. Really friendly, efficient and cheerful - I think her name was Rachel. Really, really good service.

This was the "splurge" hotel of our recent honeymoon... We ended our trip to Argentina and Chile here in the hip Bellavista neighborhood of Santiago and felt very lucky to be staying at such a beautiful place! I'm actually not quite sure there are too many other hotels in this neighborhood so I'm glad we found this place. It's right at the foot of the Cerro San Cristobal hill where you can take a funicular to the top and see a Virgin Mary statue as well as amazing views of the city. If you walk 5 minutes down the street you will end up at the cool Patio Bellavista which from the outside looks like a mall, but when you walk in is filled with tons of great restaurants all basically set up for outdoor eating. It's a pretty cool experience!

The hotel itself is on beautiful grounds and since we were there for New Years, they really went above and beyond to make sure their guests had a great night. They opened up their Piano Bar for a great tapas dinner (for guests only) and then led us to their rooftop pool for a great view of the nearby fireworks show. They were kind enough to upgrade us to the "Cerro San Cristobal" suite which seems to be designed for honeymooners like us, the bed is HUGE (oversized King), and has an open concept bathroom area, which took us a bit to get used to, but the room itself was perfect. It also had an outdoor terrace that looked straight out to the rooftop pool and overlooked the outside eating area.

My only criticism would be that some of the front desk staff were not as friendly in person as they seemed via email. All the way leading up to our stay, I was emailing back and forth with various front desk staff, but when we arrived, we were greeted with some smiling faces, and then some not so smiling faces. Rachel at the front desk, as well as the other Rachel at the bar, were fantastic! However, in contrast to almost everyone else, one other woman who worked the front desk was actually not only un-helpful, but often quite snotty. We had asked her several times about making dinner reservations since we checked in and every time I would return to ask (because she didn't call the room once to follow up, I had to go down and ask her in person), she had some excuse about why she had not done so yet (the restaurant was not open yet, she was busy doing something else- yes she actually said that-, etc.). I had to literally stand there to watch her call the restaurant in order to finally get a reservation. This was our only issue though and hopefully this was just an off experience with this particular staff member. The hotel manager (Mark I think?) was also fabulous and friendly and would often be walking around the hotel checking how everyone was doing.

Besides that one hiccup, we had a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a modern, classy, beautiful oasis in the best part of Santiago! (Just beware the heat in the middle of December!! It definitely causes some places to lose power! Not the hotel, but surrounding restaurants, bars...)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cerro San Cristobal suite which was beautiful!! Open concept bathroom takes a bit o...
