Attentive service from the adjacent hotel and cleaning staff, a great rooftop pool, and a good base for exploring, but for us and two little kids the 2 bedroom apartment was too cramped for comfort. On the 2nd floor, we were just metres from the busy road and footpath, which was noisy till 3 or 4am, given the late Santiago nights. Despite the oven and stovetop, the kitchen had almost nothing else: no bowls, no sharp knives, no cutting board, no tea or coffee making gear, hardly any cutlery - so it fell short of being properly self-catering.

WOW what a great find! This place has everything going for it and yet no-one has written about it. These apartments are part of Diego de Velasquez Hotel and are about 50 metres from the Hotel down a quiet paved courtyard one block from the Neruda Hotel and a block from Hotel Orley but without the noise except for Friday nights. Beautifully appointed apartments that are spacious and so clean with full kitchen. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom(bath in each bathroom) apartment that cost high season US$130 a night. Certainly worth every cent and the pool on the 21st floor is the icing on the cake. Its a lap pool just over one metre deep which has views to die for,(open 15 November - 15 March) there is also a gym, spa and BBQ area, and laundry room on the 21st floor. The rooms get made up each day and then you have your American breakfast at the Hotel which is wonderful. The location is between the two metro stations Pedro de Valdivia and Los Leones and just back from 11 de Septiembre. We stayed eight nights and loved every minute!!
