“Surprisingly good”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

The food in this Restuarant was excellent. It was delivered quickly with polite staff and it was really tasty. If you can handle the over the top Chinese decor and want some good western style Chinese food, this is the place to go!

“A Hidden Subteranean Gem”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

In all my visits to Santiago I missed this one. I found it wandering around the center of the city near the Teatro Municipal. It seems to be hidden in an arcade. I saw the sign to a subteranean Chinese restaurant and investigated. I was glad I did. This is a large, old fashioned Chinese restaurant, lavishly decorated. The food was very good and not your average cheap Chinese joint. This is a place to enjoy an unhurried meal with friends, try some interesting dishes not found in other restaurants in Santiago, and drink in the surroundings. I will definitely be back and was particularly to have introduced a Chilean chef friend to Lung Fung.

“No bueno”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Man, these reviews claiming "best Chinese in Santiago" definitely fell short. Not terrible, but not great. The ambience is weird, it's underground and the whole place is covered with a shaggy layer of carpeting. The Peking Duck was long overcooked, shrimp fried rice was eh, sweet and sour pork was good. But all pricey for what it was.

“Best Chinese Restaurant in Santiago Centro”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant you can find in Santiago -in all aspects.

I have no clue what the other reviewer in here is talking about; I've been at this restaurant around 9 times all at different hours and the service and quality are both A+. Yes, the place is a bit empty, and I can tell you why: they do not offer lunch menu specials like the common fare found everywhere else in Santiago Centro. So no wonton+fried rice+ice cream + soda for $5.000 CLP for you!

It is pricey, but again, there are Chinese restaurants from Chinese restaurants. Think of Lung Fung as the Lexus of all Toyotas: the decor is great and takes you away to somewhere in China -even check out the TV screens and you'll see... Cantonese Karaoke! No kidding!!

You know, there is a reason why this restaurant is over 40 years old and in the same spot. It also says something when the waitresses have been working there for the same length of time!

Try the Pineapple chicken -my favorite-, the enrollados and the chicken soup. Superb! And their tamarind (sweet & sour) souce is literally the best in Santiago! And their spicy sauce too!
