If you are looking for a low-profile, neighbourhood bar to have a great beer and something good to eat, then Haussmann's is for you. The menu is small - hotdogs, burgers, and the famous 'crudo'. A 'crudo' is minced raw punta beef - no fat - squashed flat and served on a slice of bread with onions. You squeeze lemons, and then add from the following list: chilli, mayo with coriander, mustard, salt and pepper. Wash down with a cool Kuntsmann beer.
After 4-6 of those, a slice of the homemade cakes or pies goes down a treat.
The decor is pure neighbourhood bar, not elegant. The staff are very friendly and will guide you through the process of making your first 'crudo'.
I am going back tomorrow night!
