We were fortunate enough to unplug for 4 days as Michael and Audrey shared their mountain, and the triple volcano views from our cozy 2 bedroom cabin. This is a seemingly remote- get-a-way from it all experience, filled with peace and happiness and a wood burning stove to keep things toasty. We thoroughly enjoyed hitting up the lodge to socialize and witness breath taking sunsets, such a treat! Pisco Sours and fine wine, coupled with warm conversation and great food ( ahem- Michael is a french chef! bonus!) really made this a magical trip. If you are the kind of traveler in search of an adventure, and looking to get away from the typical hotel experience, then this is the place. We felt like we got to truly experience a region, and it now lives in our hearts now that they so graciously shared how the locals live. Lucky, lucky us, and lucky you if you enjoy traveling to this beautiful remote slice of heaven...

Room Tip: we booked a 2 bedroom cabin for ourselves and 2 boys- it was perfect!

When we arrived to the lodge it weather was rainy but the next day the sun was out and just reveal the charm of this place. A very nice view in a very calm surrounding.

The terrace was nice and facilitate meeting with other peope.

I could suggest that the decoration of the rooms being more charming. Basically there is no pictures, frames...

A very good adress for this region

This is a pleasant property and I wish I could give it a higher rating. The owners are friendly and helpful and the setting of the property is very nice. It is set well away from any roads and has an excellent view of several volcanoes.

Why not a higher rating. The issues.

Rooms. The walls are very thin and any noise - left, right, and above can be heard. Fortunately, when I was there the property was not busy so this was not the issue it could have been. If there had been people talking at almost level in the common area or the restaurant - it would have been most disturbing.

Food. You have no choice in reality but to eat at the property. Quality is average and prices are high for what is provided. The main dishes do not come with anything. For example, order a steak and that is all you get. 250 grams is 6,000 Pesos - $12 USD. Add some mashed potatoes - $5 USD. I ate the same meal for a better price at some top notch properties.

They have four beers on offer - 333 cl bottles - $5 USD. Again, pretty pricey in comparison to having a Cerveze Grande Austral - 1 liter - for $3 USD at other locations. Yes, they were microbrews and they did have Heineken at $4 USD.

Breakfast. This was the most minimal breakfast of all the properties at which I stayed in Chile. Instant coffee and tea, jams, one cheese, one type of bread, yogurt, tinned orange juice, cereals, and whole fruit. No meats and not even a toaster. I was provided a "special" breakfast that include some salami, two pieces of ham, and some wurst.

Bottom line. I liked the owners and the location of the property. I wish some of the other aspects were a bit better.

Room Tip: Avoid common area.

Estimado,

Beautiful property and lovely hosts! We had dinner deliciously prepared by Audrey and watched an amazing sunset. And had a cozy breakfast the next morning. The cabin was very comfortable. Our family wished we could've stayed longer.
