It ´s a nice place very quiet and closed to the city center , 2 min by walk .
The breakfast is good , and the people who is working are very friendly , smiling , makes sure you feel good ...
That ´s a good place in Puerto Varas with a small lovely garden where you can camp easily and quietly .
What else ?
Just come to this place and see it by yourself

Would not stay for that price and their dorm room is really small and crowded.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights, after coming from Patagonia. I do think 4 nights is a little too long, especially if you experienced Patagonia. The lakes district compared to Patagonia was just "meh". But if you do come here and want something affordable, definitely stay at Compass del Sur. An old converted house, it's a comfortable place to call home for a few days. We had a tiny room on the top floor with a shared bath for about $40/night for a private room. I know they do have shared rooms, and camping available, too. The price included breakfast, Wifi, and the use of a well stocked kitchen. The walls and floors are definitely creaky, so if noise is an issue, I recommend asking for a bed and/or room on the top floor. We did poke around elsewhere, looking for another place to stay (as the room we had was really that small), but everywhere else was either a lot more expensive or a total dump for the same price. So we stayed, and enjoyed it. The overall vibe and energy of the other guests was great. Everybody was really nice and interesting. I definitely recommend staying here!

Room Tip: ask for a room on the top floor

Bed and Breakfast/ Hostel style accommodation
Lovely old house restored nicely. This place is a bit hard to find but once there it is very central. Comfortable rooms and beds were great. The staff were very helpful with good suggestions. Much better to stay here than Puerto Montt as there is lots to do in the area and the town is lovely. It has a beautiful bay. Breakfasts are the usual basic but you can add extras like Muesli, eggs and real coffee for a little extra. You can hire bikes from the hostel.

I stayed here for four nights and found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The place is almost spotless and the beds are comfortable with great warm duvets. The only thing that needs an upgrade are the showers/bathrooms...but I think this in the future plans. They are clean, though, even if they need to be updated. Friendly and cozy.
