Went here with some of my local Chilean friends and was positively surprised by this place. The amount of draft and bottle beers was the biggest I've seen in Chili so far and the locally brewed Chester was my favorite. We were here on a Tuesday night and the place became packet at night and still nice and vibrant when we left at 12.30. So this is were the locals hang out and have a bite, we saw a lot of nice dishes passing by and we took some good pizza ourselves.
Staff is friendly but it takes some effort to get yourself a new drink when the place is full. Only downside could be the location ca. 20 minutes away by food from the center but a car or taxi would solve this.

We had the 2 different ceviche dishes on the menu and both were delicious (especially the mixto). We each tried 3 different beers which went perfectly with our 2 different thin crust pizzas. One pizza was perfect for 2 people to share with the ceviche as an appetizer. They also brought us yummy bread with salsa as we waited for our food to arrive. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. We went on a Saturday night at 8:45 and it was virtually empty but was filled up 1 hour later. We stayed until 1 am and they never rushed us to get out of there-there were still lots of people there at that hour. It was cozy and the lighting was ideal-not too dark, not too light. They have music playing and the locals seemed to be filling the place up though we did see a few other tourists there. It is a 15 minute walk from the center of Puerto Varas but totally worth it because the prices are so much more reasonable than most restaurants right in town. You could easily take a taxi there in 3-4 minutes.

Went there with 3 more friends and loved the place! Excellent music, the menu has all sorts of food (fish, pasta, meat, pizzas and really big sanguches!) and the list of cocktails, beers and wine is cheaper than most places in Pto Varas.

Went there on a week day, recommend by the hotel staff. Got to the restaurant about 20.30 and in less than an hour many people came in. It seems that is the place that more people from the city and around prefer.

I tried what the waitress recommended, a punta de ganso with papas bravas, which was excellent! World class!! I definitely recommend the place and the food!

this bar-restaurant is located a short walk out of the center area of Puerto Varas, along the coastal road.

before it had been a very lonesome restaurant that never caught on,
it's now in the hands of a restaurant-bar company from Santiago that brought in the idea of lower prices, and good sized portions.

For instance, the wine list has to be understood carefully,
all wines pay an opening (descorche) fee of two thousand five hundred pesos (aprox)
and the bottle itself is at near market price (that's supermarket, not restaurant), so you can drink a very good wine for a very reasonable price.

the food is not too bad, in the past I had tried the pizza and it was definitely not my cup of tea. this last time we had the tabla de carne, and it was excellent, filling, and good value for the money.

the place can fill up quite a bit several nights a week, which is fun

but it also allows smoking and the ventilation was not designed into the building so if it bothers you, best choose somewhere else
