The hotel is very nicely designed. The lobby, halls, and rooms are all beautiful and the lakefront view is great. The rooms and bathrooms are large and well kept. There is a small casino on the first floor which doesn't affect the hotel's atmosphere but can make parking a hassle. There is a spa with jacuzzis, saunas, etc. The only real objection is the food. The restaurant is a buffet and the selection isn't all that great. The wine selection is outright poor.

The hotel is across the lake and you can see the volcano Osorno. It's a beautiful view from every room in the front of the hotel. The breakfast is excellent and the buffet dinner as well. The hotel is very central and close to the best tourist agencies in town. Be sure to make the one day cruise to Bariloche. It's fantastic!

I booked a night's stay at the hotel for the sheer convenience of going on the Andean Lake Crossing, since the pick-up point was just in front of the main entrance of the casino, just around the corner from the main entrance of the hotel.

I have to admit to not expecting much, but was really wow-ed by the service disposition of the front desk. I had a lovely welcome from them, before being escorted to my room. The room was large and facing Lago Llanquihue and was very modern. There was also free wifi in the room, without any sign-up or passwords. The bathroom was equipped with a rain shower, separate from the bath.

The restaurant also faces the lake, so you can have views while dining if the weather is good.

We stayed two nights at this hotel before our sea kayaking trip. It was above and beyond what I thought it would be. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. It has a fabulous location overlooking the lake and in the midst of the town. The room was amazing. The bathroom was very large and had a beautiful separate tub. We also had a balcony overlooking the lake which was wonderful. The spa is great too although the men are separate from the women. I would have liked to enjoyed the jacuzzi and saunas with my husband rather than having my own separate ones. The staff was very friendly, especially Carlos at the front desk and the gentleman running the breakfast (I can't remember his name). The breakfast was fantastic!! Our only disappointment was that we didn't book this hotel for our last two days when we got back from kayaking. We already had another reservation at another hotel we couldn't cancel. :(

We checked into this Hotel (also called Dreams) after quickly checking out of our first hotel in Puerto Varas (Bellevista) because it just wasn't that nice (and did not have wifi as advertised). This hotel was next door and the very nice manager (?) Christian gave us a tour of the hotel. We ended up taking a suite (we are with our 8 and 10 year olds) and couldn't be happier. The hotel has a great pool, wonderful views, very nice rooms, and a good buffet breakfast. And wifi.

This is an espectacular 5 star hotel. Reasons:
1) Hotel Building: it was renovated after it was bought by Dreams. It has a spacious lobby, a Buffet and A la Cart restaurant facing lake Llanquihue, a Casino with two bars that are open during the night, a full Spa with a beautiful pool with a glass roof, so you can swim while watching the sky. It also has a Gym, a Business Center, and Complimentary Parking.

2) The rooms: they are clean and modernly decorated, spacious and functional. They have a mini bar with (almost) fair prices, a big bathroom with a hot tub and a shower, and a separate W.C. They have lots of space to put your clothes, and in room digital safe, a big LCD, a very very comfortable bed with a nice pillow selection and, of course, a view that deserves its own number. Add to all of this Free In-room Wi-fi.

3) The view: most of the rooms have frontal views of Lake Llanquihue and a balcony. I will upload a photo so you can see by yourselves. At time of booking, ask for a frontal lake view and they will reserve a room with those characteristics (even in the inexpensive rooms).

4) The amenities : they give you bathrobes, sleepers, extra towels, good daily bathroom amenities. At night, they prepare your room to sleep and put chocolates under your pillow.

5) The Staff: everybody is very friendly and wants to help you. We asked for a late check out and they gave it to us with no extra charge. The room service staff works quickly and cordially.

6) The Buffet Breakfast: is delicious and, no matter if your are chilean or an international traveller, it has everything that you could want for breakfast.

7) Location: is in the middle of the town, near the good restaurants and in front of the Lake.

The only low side of this hotel is that if you are trying to have a "chilean south" experience, the hotel architectural brings you back to civilization, but this can be amend with a visit to Todo los Santos Lake and a one night stay in Peulla.

Tips for booking: ask a frontal view room, ask a room that is not in the third floor (because is the floor where the spa is located and a lot of guest come and go during the day), call to the hotel to see if they have a weekend promotion, because one month before your stay they will probably have better prices. As an example, we stayed two nights paying 60.000 CLP (120 USD) per night and they gave us a 10.000 CLP (20 USD) voucher to use in the casino as a gift. All of this, because we called the hotel, because the internet rate was 73.000 CLP.
