This is a rustic lodge and a little hard to get to. Right off the bat, I should clarify that the price is for the location and the large ground, not luxury creature comforts. The views of the volcano are incredible. The cabins are spaced very far apart, giving the feeling of space. There is a very pretty hill on the premises, and a wonderful zip line (fixed times, so make sure you are there on time). And my wife enjoyed the outdoor pool. They had left the fireplace all stocked up and ready to light which was a great touch.

The indoor heated pools are not as great as others in Chile. The breakfast was very good and hearty. The kitchen is basic, as are the rooms. These are just to provide context, not criticism. But for us, the place was magical and we will go back in a heart beat.

The only real criticism is that they should have a smoke and CO detector in each room. These are very cheap, and a necessity in a small cabin with a wood heater.

Many to write about your experience at Mirador Los Volcanes.
We were very happy to know that they enjoyed their stay, the Cabanas with amazing view, breakfasts, zip lining, outdoor and heated pools. We will worry about getting a CO2 meter for the interior of the Cabins.
We will be happy to welcome you and assist you in a next time you visit this beautiful area of Pucon-Caburgua.

I was very surprised this place wasn't better given the previous reviews. I write this review through the lens of what we paid to stay here which was over CLP 200,000 per night for a larger cabin. At that price range I expected much more.

However, there are some real positive headlines about this place (the amazing view being one) but I think it is let down by the details.

I had the feeling that insufficient money has been reinvested in the business resulting in some areas that require attention and that affected the experience.
1. the bathrooms need refurbishing as they are tired and have mold in the tile joints
2. The outdoor pool looked green and had weeds around it. There is also an indoor heated pool which I didn't see.
3. The football nets are made of chicken wire which is broken and punctured our ball :)
4. The bed sheets appear old and in need of replacement
5. The kitchen furniture is a bit tatty and the water heater is very noisy and close to your head when doing dishes
6. The wifi has a sign on process like you have at airports which disconnects you are a while. We also struggled to get all our devices connected at the same time (kids won that particular battle!). Not a major issue of course, rather a minor irritant.
7. Chipped crockery. Again not a major issue but perhaps symptomatic over attention to detail.
8. The condition of the dirt road that leads to the complex is deteriorating although much of it won't be controlled by the complex so probably not much that can be done.
Things are not all bad by any stretch of the imagination. I don't mean to paint a purely negative picture. There were some nice touches such as the log burners being full and ready to light (these do a great job of heating). Security is also very good with fencing, cameras and entry gates (it's also off the beaten track which helps too). We had a flat screen TV with cable.

The view is of course beautiful and it makes up for a lot but not enough for me to return.

We want to thank you for having stayed with us and also for your comments, which we value a lot, as it allows us to correct and improve our services, which is what characterizes us and values our guests who visit us permanently. We are very sorry to have failed to meet your expectations and we are already taking action to correct. We are very pleased to know that the heating system, the security system and the beautiful view of the Cabañas were found positive.

We booked 2 nights based on other TA reviews - they are so right, this is a fantastic place with amazing views of the volcano, peaceful setting, lots to do in the area, pool and hot, hot tubs! Excellent hosts who deliver breakfast to your door each morning and leave you to enjoy the area. Unless you want to drive out for meals you do need to bring provisions from Pucon which has a couple of supermarkets - the cabins have all you need to prepare food and open wine!

Our first trip to Mirador turned out to be every bit as we had hoped for. As the name suggest we had stunning views for 5 days down the valley across to smouldering Villarica. On the 6th day it rained but we were very cosy in front of our wood fire. The property is amazing and well kept with hot thermal pools for weary bodies after a days hike in the nearby national parks. Kids were very happy too with playgrounds and a safe zipline across the grass. good fun! Our hosts Graciela and Cristian were very friendly, welcoming and informative as to the regions many highlights. The breakfasts were continental style and delicious with home made jam and some postres every day!

We will definitely return and cant rate our experience highly enough (maybe some softer pillows?)

Thanks again!

We came for a long weekend form Concepcion to celebrate my daughter's 9th birthday. Place was somewhat off-season and very quiet. The cabins are lovely, very well-equipped for cooking, unlimited wood for the woodstove and given the off-season nature, breakfast tray delivery each morning outside our door which was wonderful. All of the hot tubs were made available for our use and were wonderful. It was very rainy when we were there and we assumed that the zipline would not be possible but Cristian the owner found a brief weather window and sought us out to see if our daughter wanted to try it then before we got closed out of it, and after that the climbing wall too. He went above and beyond to do so and we were grateful. Our daughter loved both immensely. The hillside is beautiful as are the view of the volacanos (we caught a bit of the view given the weather). Close to some remote termases as well. Also has a game room with pool and foosball. All in all a total pleasure of a place to spend the weekend, even given the rain and off-season nature of it. Cristian and his wife were wonderful. We would go back anytime.
