“Overpriced for what it is”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

The Termas accomm was very comfortable and the pools were great, however the rest of the hotel is not up to standard for the prices they charge.

The rooms were heated by the thermal spring water in the walls, so were way too hot and we had to open the bathroom window at all times which seemed wasteful. The sunken bath was ridiculous and potentially dangerous during late night bathroom visits!

The service is the restaurant changed from incompetent one day to rude the next day. The food was ok, but the service really ruined it.

The "fitness centre" was a joke and not usable at all.

The only staff member who was helpful was Pedro at reception who went out of his way to assist in booking excursions.

Do not come here without a car, it is too difficult and expensive to get around as there is no free shuttle as advertised. They (begrudingly) agreed to pick us up in Pucon on the day we were checking in but after that there were no free transfers offered even on the checkout day.

My husband, son (1 yo), sister-in-law (12 yo), and I went to Termas Huife in December 2011. It is not far from the main town of Pucon where we stayed. We only spent time at the Hot Springs not the hotel. It is a little pricey but it was a very nice experience. I expected small pools but they were all very large. There were varying temperature of water in each pool. They offered outdoor and indoor but fyi the indoor is just under a tent. The scenery was beautiful, it was right along a picturesque river. The property is in great shape. The staff was freindly. One of the reasons we picked this one too is because it offered food. We knew we would spend the day there so it was a good option. They have a cafe and restaurant. Bring your own towel because they are not provided. But they do sell them for a small fee.

We just came for a few hours from our hotel in Pucon (1/2 hour drive). It's expensive (about $15 US per adult and $10 per child...kids under 3 are free), but pretty well maintained. There were 3 man-made pools right by a beautiful river. The locker rooms and bathrooms were clean. There are hair dryers available, but they barely work and bring your own towels or they will charge you for them. There is also a free bag check area. Since it is the off season, it wasn't very crowded. The restaurant has very little to offer and what they had was pretty bland, so I would pack a lunch.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our self arranged trip around central Chile. The thermal pools were pleasant to use, but the whole place was very crowded between 12 - 6pm. The cabins are nicely situated a little away from the main activities along the banks of the river. They are a rustic design with a decking area through glass door and next to the river. The weather in this area can be cool and the cabins are fitted with a wood burning stove and a large gas fire both of which worked well.
Unfortunately the rooms were not as well maintained as they should have been - no big problem, but irritating, e.g. several lights not working, sun bed broken, outdoor table damaged, toilet seat broken, no wash basin plug, etc. Bathroom area and indoor 'spa' were disappointing.
Restaurant was ok, but with limited choice and unexciting. Breakfast included in overnight rate.
Overpriced for what is provided in terms of accommodation in our view.

I loved the Thermal Baths of Huife near Pucon, Chile. This location has several well maintained cabins on the banks of a stream. Each cabin has a large bedroom, bathroom and living room with two additional beds. This is great for a family or a romantic get away. The grounds are very inviting with beautiful flowers and a hiking path. There are four pools of various temperatures. These are man made pools with thermal hot spring waters. If you want something more rustic, go up the road a bit to the neighboring thermal baths (they are the natural stone variety). Huife also offers a 60 min full body massage for $30. I did not have a massage, but two of my friends did and said it was excellent. The restaurant was only ok. Because we were there in the "off" season, there were only two choices of food, but the service was good. This place is a little on the expensive side of things, and off the beathen path, but if you like to be pampered and have a car, it is worth it. If I'm ever in Chile again, I will return here.
