My fiancé and I stayed at Casa Establo for five nights in September and we had the most amazing / relaxing time. This is a true boutique hotel where the service is personalized to your needs, to the point where the Chef was asking us what we felt like eating for dinner. The food was amazing and the ambiance was just great. You felt like you were at home, with friends and we even watched a football game one night with the owners. Alexandra is extremely helpful and she will go above and beyond to help you figure it out. She even gave us a ride back to Pucon on our last day, recommended restaurants and activities, helped us get oriented, etc.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are simple, yet clean and modern. We were in the Mapucho room and we had a great view of the lake. The hill to get to the hotel is somewhat challenging but when taking the bus back, it made it for our workout of the day. This is definitely a great option for anyone going to Pucon. It is nicer than most hotels in town and probably cheaper as well. Your way back and forth is really easy, you just have to flag a bus and they charge about US $1 per person to get you to the village from the hotel. They light the fireplace every night and the place is decorated with cowhides and owner's own wool creations, which are very cool looking.

Everything was above and beyond expectations and despite the chilly, rainy weather, we left Casa Establo, relaxed and full of great memories. Perfect for couples who are looking to relax and have good food and wine!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a view on the lake

I have traveled the world and stayed in all sorts of places from hostels to 5 star resorts and without a doubt this hotel ranks in my top 3 favorites. In a country where customer service is rare, these two owners and their entire staff will knock you off your feet with their service. The prices for the room and meals in the restaurant are right - high value for your dollar. I can't say enough great things about this place. A few highlights: the owners, receptionist and chef are all always around to be accommodating, helpful and genuinely friendly. You definitely feel at home in this 'hotel'. The rooms are 5 star quality. The view is spectacular and the property peaceful. The decor is very classy (I couldn't leave without purchasing a few beautiful things). The food makes you never want to leave to go to town because you know you won't find better. Thank you Casa Establo for such a refreshing stay!!

CasaEstablo is an amazing place to stay. This boutique
Hotel is a family Casa and you can feel it every second you are there. Probably one of the best places i have stayed in. The design is clean and pleasant in a perfect way. The owners are super nice and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast composed of home made delicacies. Amazing view from very specious room and two friendly and cuddly dogs makes this stay one of the best.

As the name suggests, the theme here is all about horses – championship horses to be exact. Throughout the hotel decorative items are tastefully arranged to reflect this, along with many items of beautiful fabric art created by one of the owners. The entire establishment shows thoughtful design and careful attention to detail, with a very visually appealing result. My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the end of our visit to Chile, and it was an excellent way to end our trip.

The Casa Establo is a short drive from Pucon on the main road, up a very steep driveway that was disconcerting at first but became less scary with experience. The hotel complex takes maximum advantage of its position overlooking the lake, and all guest rooms and public areas have an excellent view, only slight marred by a recently installed cell-phone tower near the highway. The view here, by the way, is much better than most hotels in town, and though Casa Establo is not in Pucon it is not at all remote, either.

Each of the rooms is named after a Chilean champion horse, and ours was the Rico Raco room on the third (top) floor (note, there is no lift but hotel staff will help with your luggage if necessary). The room was large, comfortable, and tastefully decorated with a mix of wood, stone, and fabric. There was a comfortable king-sized bed, two night stands, a shelf along one wall for odds & ends, and a built-in closet with drawers and shelves that provided plenty of storage space. There is a ceiling fan but no a.c. (probably unnecessary), and very effective hot water heat. In fact, one slight downside was that the stylish but heavy bed coverings kept us a little too warm at night even though we turned off all the registers and opened the window. There was also a small wood stove in one corner, but this seemed more decorative than functional, except maybe during the coldest times of the year. Wifi worked well in the room and throughout the hotel.

The large bathroom was very attractive, entirely covered in light colored faux-marble tiles. The expansive vanity provided plenty of counter space. The toilet and shower were in a separate adjoining room.

On the ground floor of the hotel there is a stunning dining room/bar area with high ceilings and floor to ceiling glass providing a beautiful view of the lake. The dining room opens onto a terrace where during the day and on warm nights guests can sit at tables and lounge chairs. A swimming pool/sauna is located a short distance uphill from the main building. It looked inviting but the weather while we were there was too cool for us to enjoy it.

Breakfast was served in the dining room and was buffet style. There was a good selection of fresh fruit, juice, cereal, yogurt, cheese & ham, toast, and excellent coffee. We also ate dinner here one night (a set menu of three courses, including wine) and it was very good.

The hotel hosts are extraordinarily friendly and helpful, and they establish an easy-going yet attentive atmosphere that we found very enjoyable. The Casa Establo was at the top of our price range for hotels during our visit to Chile, but we felt that we got good value for our money. We highly recommend it.

If you are looking for an awesome and fun place to hang, Casa Establo close Villarrica Lake and near Pucon is great! The lobby art is fantastic, bar is welcoming, and the rooms are unique. Really enjoyed the hospitality. We enjoy with the family the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Owners are usually close to you to see anything can help...Really a great place to relax and enjoy Pucon.

We were a group of 6 friends, so we booked 3 rooms at "CasaEstablo". After our terrible stay at Kunza Hotel & Spa in San Pedro de Atacama in the north of Chile, we arrived at this gem. I can't even think of things that this hotel can do better. I have to say - it's a challenge to get up to it from the main road (the hotel sits on a hill, and the uphill road to it is super steep and rough - so get a couple lessons on manual shift driving before you come!), but, once you've made it, you're in heaven: amazing views over the lake, very comfortable rooms, gracious service, tasty meals, great pool - amazing... We loved it so much that we almost cried when we had to leave... We will certainly be back!

Room Tip: Get comfortable with driving a manual shift gear uphill to the hotel! The road is very steep and rou...
