“We will stay here again!”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

We stayed here for four nights in late April. The setting of EcoReserva is incredible -- amazing view of the Villarica volcano, rolling meadows, nicely designed property. We took hikes to the river and took advantage of the greenhouse and garden with fresh lettuce, zucchini, beans and (hot!) peppers plus apples from the big tree near the garden. This is all in addition to having a great time exploring Pucon and the surrounding areas (horseback riding, white water rafting, termas.) If you are a runner, there are beautiful routes and if you want to read or do nothing at all -- you have a beautiful place for that, too. Antonio (the owner) is clearly dedicated to his vision of providing a real "away from it all" getaway. He is knowledgeable about the area and able to provide excellent advice (including "you might want to consider doing some activities on your next trip to Pucon. The lodging is rustic -- don't expect posh. You have a full kitchen, so you don't have to eat out every night. We supplemented the breakfast that was delivered each morning with a bit more. We are a family of 5. ps -- You have to have a car when you stay here.

We stayed here for a few days, and it's now one of our favorite places ever. The whole concept is to get back to nature, and the beautiful surroundings and the owner (Antonio) make you just want to do exactly that, for good.
There are 5(?) cabins, basic and rustic but built in the last 3 years or so, and they're clean and everything works well. The beds are firm but comfortable. There's a wood stove, and they provide virtually unlimited firewood to keep the place warm - it's very nice.
The only thing that could use improving is the breakfast - it was very basic (bread and sometimes fruit) and the bread wasn't that nice. This didn't bother us much as we had our own food and there's a fully equipped kitchen in the cabin.
We had our own car, and Pucon, Lake Caburgua, Huerquehue National Park (highly recommended!) and a number of hotsprings were all within about 30 minutes drive. It might be a bit inconvenient if you didn't have a car, but Chile is a great place to rent a car and drive.
From the Reserva there's a very nice view of Volcan Villarica.
Antonio lives there and is incredibly enthusiastic about the place. There's a nice garden with lots of organic vegetables that he helped us pick and we were free to help ourselves any time. He was always very friendly and helpful - the most extreme instance being taking us to the hospital when our son got an intestinal infection. He and everybody else there were just really friendly, laid back, and genuinely concerned about us.
Definitely a place I'd want to go back to.

We are a family with 2 children who wanted to enjoy Pucon and its surrounding away for all the crowd and away from the 5 stars hotels.
The reserva was simply the perfect destination for us, overlooking the volcan and in the middle of a forest at walking distance from the Licura river for the fly fishing fans.
Antonio the owner as on top of this welcomed us as If we were part of his family and made us feel at home from the first day making our stay really special.
Been a 5 star hotelier for the past 15 years, I can only recommend highly the Reserva for a great vacation to disconnect from the day to day stress.
