“Simple and Moving”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

With an excellent location on the Ross Road, overlooking the sea, this is a simple and dignified memorial to those who fell in defence of freedom. The names of all who fell, and their participating units, are inscribed, and it is a fitting and sobering reminder of what should never be allowed to happen.

A fitting memorial to his who gave their lives so that the Falklanders can remain as British as marmite.

Sobering to see the names of th Hong Kong laundrymen from Galahad and Tristram.

A sobering reminder of all who died in the Falklands conflict - from laundrymen to Colonel. Very well done and maintained.

“Nice memorial for those who fought in the 1982 conflict”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

Located on the north side of Port Stanley and an easy walk form the pier, it makes for a interesting visit. Lots of names of soldiers, combat units and ships that fought in the 1982 conflict.

“Near the Shore, Easy to Reach, Intimate and Moving”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

This memorial is sited near the shore and can be visited very easily. It is one of many sites on the walking path next to the sea. A road also parallels this path. Both the path and road are quite flat with gentle inclines when needed. Several information boards and benches may be found along the way. The memorial consists of a female figure atop a column surrounded by a semicircular rock wall containing plaques which list the victims. The layout draws you in and creates an intimate and moving experience. Well done.
