Whilst in search actually of Al Forno, (the Singapore pizza holy grail?) I accidentally found ourselves in Pasta Fresca. OK, I overshot my destination and had not the heart to back track with youngsters in tow. In the rain. I was loathe to expend my pizza searching energies short of intended target, but opted for it in an effort to cut my losses. I did enjoy the pizza, and I am hard to please in the pizza department. I was quite happy that the pizza crust was light and crisp, but with proper tenderness between the crackle. The sauce was very close to what I consider the requirement, could perhaps be a bit more acidic for my taste. The cheese was quite suitable, the stretch and taste of the melted mozzarella pointed toward quality. A touch of salt may have been lacking, but that is readily rectified, if necessary. Alas, in the pasta department three stars vs four. The pasta was a minute or two past al dente for my taste, and I was not a fan of the granularity of the meat in the bolognese sauce. The youngsters were happy enough with it. That said, the pizza justified the trip.
