China Town is vibrant and exciting. The community amazing. The preparation for New Year 2019 started in earnest today, New Years Eve. Come see it’s bonkers and brilliant and lifts the spirit, feeds your soul and it’s free.

Great place to buy a few souvenirs relatively cheap. Not clothes. But small items and ornaments. Food stalls looked good outside. But inside the market was not pleasant. It looked unclean and smelly. My son threw out after we experimented with some spring rolls. Probably the smell of the various sauces combined put him off. We had to abandon our dinner plans and return to the hotel. So if you like a clean pleasant dinner out this is not the place.
But I would still go there as it has so much character as should be in a China Town. :)

The main reason I love this place, There are Buddhist temple, Hindu Temple, Muslim Masjid & Church all near by. Its shows that Singaporeans living peacefully and harmony with all religions. Best place for shopping. You can bargain here. SMRT available.

This place is known for the Chinese market and cultural activities. If you are from China it is the location you are searching for to stay in Singapore. There are shops that sell old articles at cheap prices. People can buy electronic items here at low price. It looks lovely at night when walking around.
