I am a regular visitor and really can not fault the food and service here - look out for he specials and always make space for one of Shameem’s desserts. Wine list is decently priced.

We were at Bar-a-thyme for a business lunch. We had a reservation and were very well looked after. The ambience at the restaurant was good, its a family owned / run restaurant. The father is the head chef and passionate about what he does. We had some shared starters and for mains i had a salmon dish, which i was very pleased with. Can’t remember the dessert as I didn’t have, but others in the group had and they were very happy.

We held our wedding solemnisation and a small lunch at the restaurant (18 adults and 3 kids).

In a nutshell, everything was perfect!!

The team went beyond expectations and took initiatives to make the event a fuss-free one for us.

The guests thoroughly enjoyed the dishes and the venue. Everything was amazing down to the morning preparatory work, flowers and decorations, service, music (we had a playlist but was too busy to manage).

Our favorite was the beautiful wedding cake customized to fit in the overall flowers and decorations as well as our preference to have something with yuzu. :-)

Beautiful French food with a modern twist. We preferred it to other popular restaurants in Singapore such as Ottomani and Burnt Ends. Wonderful produce and everything we ate was cooked beautifully. We had oysters and the Baccala croquettes for entrees, and the pork and the chicken breast (which was meltingly tender) for mains. Great wine menu with lots of good half bottles. Highly recommend.

I first want to highlight that this review is written for the Christmas take out menu.

We’ve been ordering our Christmas dinner from Bar-A-Thym for many years and it is THE dinner that the family looks forward to.

We tried the roasted suckling pig this year and it was our favourite - every edible part was consumed! You can see from the picture that the colour was perfect, skin was crispy and meat was tender.

The turkey didn’t disappoint - it was sufficiently moist and the stuffing was delicious as it was tasty but not heavy - very well balanced.

The roast beef was also amazing.

All the above was served with seasonal vegetables that made the meal complete.

This is one Xmas tradition I’ll definitely continue for a while.
