This is an old favourite of mine and have been coming here for more than a decade. Had dinner here with 2 others on a Friday evening. The 2 or 3 course set menu allows you a choice to mix and match from their main menu, with some items at a supplementary extra charge. I had kangaroo loin (excellent, done medium rare). Check the website for more details on dishes. The wines here are most reasonably priced for a restaurant. Best part, no corkage for a Friday or Saturday night.

For the quality, really hard to beat for value. Highly recommended.

The Moomba Tuck Shop had an excellent variety of sandwiches we had a variety of chicken, fish and for our veg-lover a Portabello Mushroom choice and and after eating these we are more than interested to try their breakfast items. Loved sitting in the business district by the Quay and people watching.

The Moomba boasts fine Australian-inspired cuisine in the heart of the CBD. It's restaurant is located along Circular Road just behind the bustling Boat Quay and its sandwich joint called the Moomba Tuckshop is located just behind the Fullerton Hotel.

The Moomba restaurant offers excellent food, starting from their warm breads and hearty salads to their generous mains and indulgent deserts. I'm particularly partial to their spinach and walnut bread as well as the black charcoal bread, which is surprisingly delicious despite looking charred! For vegetarians, they can do a mushroom or tomato risotto on request in addition to their special main veg dish of the day. I love the mushroom risotto, which comes which huge slices of portobello and is usually cooked to perfection. Remember to make a reservation in advance as it is packed at lunchtimes.

The Moomba Tuckshop has the same hearty bread and uses it as sandwich bread. I enjoy the portobello mushroom sandwich with grilled veggies and usually ask for a slice of Emmenthal to be added for extra zing. Gets crowded at lunchtime, and seating options are limited, although there are outdoor seats with a view of the Singapore River. A good takeaway option,

I live in Singapore and with all the new restaurants we often forget about those that have been open for years. Moomba is one of one of those that should be kept in mind, whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. At lunch reservations are a must, dinner being quieter, makes it a perfect place to take a date! The setting is simple but decorations are very Aboriginal and the tables are nicely spaced. The food is consistently good, and prices not exorbitant. Appetiser salads can be had as a main course, (perfect for the person with a smaller appetite). My favorite, typically Australian, is the beeroot, pumpkin and feta salad. For the meat eater, served only at dinner, I recommend the kangaroo. The wine list is varied and on the menu, suggestions are made for pairing, if a bottle is not required. The staff is very attentive and a spill, (done by us) was promptly noticed and not only extra napkins, but a bowl of sparkling water to remove spots on our clothing, arrived immdiately.

Celebrated my birthday in Singapore. Found 'The Moomba' on Trip Advisor and booked it.
Thank God for Australian Modern Cuisine. Its everything you want it to be...after living o/s for 9 years, this restaurant was a melting pot of what we like best! Service was excellent; food divine (pork belly salad entree I am still scrambling with to find a copy). We never get dessert, but in celebration we had the sour cream banana tart...mmmmmmmmmmmm.
