Decided on this place since i was in flip flops. Queued up for a while for a table and got 1 after 10 mins. Along purvis street, this may be a pre-war house and probably not renovated since. Pictures of hollywood stars hang together with the thai royal family and chinese paintings. Hilarious
Asked about the chefs and owners, and they are a mix of thais and chinese
Ordered the classic thai dishes - tom yum, fish cake, seafood omelette and green curry. Ate here with a thai friend and we agreed that the omelette and fish cake are authentic. The other 2 were only 80% authentic. The presentation and ingredients used were very home-cooked and very straightforward. Like a hawker stall
The bill for 2 was $50. For the ambience and presentation, i think somewhat overpriced. Not impressed enough to return i think
