Enjoyed The Prime Society this past Thursday. Despite my concerns (based on past visits), I arrived at TPS only to be pleasantly greeted my maitre d' Alvin Gomez. Alvin and restaurant manager, Eardley Perera, have done phenomenal job of injecting service, quality and environment standards one would be accustomed to in NYC, London, Sydney and right here in Singapore at Morton's. There is no doubt that service standards are wanting in Singapore as is the correlation between value, quantity and quality and it is clear that Alvin and team have challenged the Singapore norm. This challenge is very refreshing as more and more reviewers commend establishments for quality service and I anticipate we'll see other establishments rise to the occasion. Keep up the great work Alvin and Eardley! Excellent sirloin, red wine, sides and ambiance. Thanks for doing away with 150g steak gradation and please replace the dining chairs!

It was the last day of Singapore Restaurant Week so our expectations were quite high on sunday. And, the Prime Society did NOT disappoint us - given we wanted to have a good steak. Let me go out on a limb and say that the steak was by far, one of the best I've had in Singapore. Really, really nice - well cooked and seasoned to perfection. That said, the appetizers were not as up-to-par. The beef tartare was good, but the tomato salad was a bit too simple (although refreshing). And the desserts fell flat. The chocolate cake with roasted popcorn didnt mix well. And the breaded doughs were over-powered by the citrus fruits - it was a tad too sour. Having said that, if you are coming here to enjoy a well-cooked and flavorful steak, then you will not be disappointed. The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable - and definitely, children-friendly. The host is an absolute gentleman - was very warm and friendly. And the wait staff were all very attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous. I will be back there soon!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but no longer ... The chef has changed again and brought the changes that has destroyed the experience

Order a sharing menu as a starter. Well unless your partner is anorexic don't bother it is small and overpriced

The steak is good but only a steak everything else is extra

The quality of food not as good the presentation non existant the whole winning concept gone

Very disappointed and will not be back. Perhaps that is why only a few tables full

Don't change a winning concept from the days when you had to book to get a table

I have been a regular if not a frequent visitor to Prime Society over the past few years. I like the location and the building is very good, particularly as you can drift outside post dinner for drinks on the rear verandah.

We started with oysters which were good, they certainly didn't last long. Not Sydney standard perhaps but they all hit the spot. Next came the mains. It is really a steak restaurant so steak is what my party all had. Once again it was cooked just as ordered with our respective tenderloins spot on. What was a little disappointing was the changes to the menu and losing a couple of favorites from the side dishes but all places must move on and update I know.

We caught the restaurant during a change over in the wine menu - a new sommelier has arrived and he is in the process of reviewing the wine list. This resulted in both good and bad. Almost all of the reds we asked for weren't available so in the end we simply asked for a list of what they did. We ended up with a Carmenere from Chile. Not the best given it was over $100++ but it opened up a bit as we ate. It was the last bottle as well so the sommelier spoke to us and recommended an excellent Nappa blend which will become one of their house pours (note it is still well over $100++) but it was a very good choice. Complimentary drinks were given to us on the verandah at the end of the meal which was a nice and unexpected touch.

The food has always been consistent when I have visited as has the service. Again, it passed muster. Waitresses were there when required but never stay away nor pushy. When we were having problems with the wine in stepped the main man. No complaints and I will definitely return at some stage in the future.
