Had an absolutely lovely stay at the Vagabond during a recent business trip to Singapore. The service and ambiance at this small, quirky, arty hotel are second to none. The bar/salon area is a joy to spend time in and makes the extra expense of ensuring lounge access, the afternoon drink and snack were a highlight of the stay. The breakfasts were delicious and a pleasure to wake up to.

Personal touches like being greeted by name and the carafe of lemon water waiting in the room in the afternoon were appreciated.

Only (very minor) downsides were the distance to transit (though taxis in Singapore are very reasonable) and the fact that the Art Suite has no desk.

Would absolutely stay again.

We almost booked somewhere else from the former reviews about room size, location, etc. HOWEVER we just enjoyed five nights at Vagabond and worthy of a five star review.
Pros
- Outstanding staff (Chef Dayel, bartender Skip, and all the rest...terrific people and enhanced the stay tremendously. They went out of their way to make it comfortable for us, and believe this is an important touch, unless you just want to be a room number at some big hotel chain.
- Well appointed hotel with many art pieces to keep you busy, including the video in the lift. Owners are world traveled and love art.
- Comfortable bed, Nespresso machine and teas, Etro bathroom goodies
- F&B, delicious breakfast! and evening nibbles with open bar for those who have access
- Great restaurants in the area (not overpriced and touristy at all) Check out Da Jie Famous Wanton, Cicheti for wood oven pizza, Atlas for afternoon cocktail...
Cons
- It may be a slightly remote for some who want the downtown, busy Orchard Rd vibe (we enjoyed being a bit off the beaten path to get away from noise and it allowed us to experience neighborhoods we might not have otherwise. Hotel about 15-20 min walk from downtown area and totally safe

Thank you, Vagabond and Garcha Crew for an outstanding stay...we made our flight too!

Great service, wicked cocktail, brilliant art, wonderful rooms and a rhinoceros at reception. Area next to little India is great with fab food markets that are incredibly cheap but great quality. Easy to get to and from airports and all areas of the city.

Stayed here for 3 nights, very quirky, fun property. They convert the restaurant into a lounge for spg guests in the afternoon. Handy little mobile phone to take during the day, great staff. Would stay again for sure.

Came across this by chance, and while the photos first looked a little tacky, the actual hotel was anything but. The cool art-deco design adds a really nice vibe to the hotel and they have pieces of art around the hotel, including one in the lift which my partner and I were mesmerised by. Beyond the design, the room was quiet, cosy and very comfortable. The service was friendly and the facilities/amenities were everything you'd want.
