Definitely the place to go in Singapore for afternoon tea.

Strongly suggest a bottle of champagne to help the digestion.

Excellent food and outstanding service.

More importantly we thought it was awesome value for money.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Our room was very large with a large, gorgeous bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just steps from all of the great shopping and numerous restaurants. It is also just a few minutes by cab from any place else you could possibly want to go in Singapore. Also, just a few minutes to the lovely Singapore Botanical Gardens which was suggested to me by the concierge for my morning run. It was the perfect spot!

Stayed here in September for five nights. It is a fabulous hotel, the staff are very attentive and helpful. The rooms are very large with fantastic comfortable beds. The hotel has a butler service where every need can be met. The breakfast area is probably a little small but a great range of fresh food. The gymnasium is also well appointed. Fantastic hotel and look forward to my next stay. At the hotel settings the rooms and some of the public areas can be a little cold. As a negative the laundry charges are expensive.

Staying here for two nights, I was disappointed. The bathroom is very nice with the marble and the shower with the multiple heads is great but the room looks very dated. The size is good and the bed too but it just looks like an update is urgently needed. The shade of desk lamp has two dark spots from the heath of the lamp things like that. Also the window is weird, the bottom half of the glass has a print and the upper part not. I would not want to stay here again at these prices..

We checked in late at night in August 2013 for a 4 night stay. We called the hotel to arrange a car to pick us up at the airport. We were transferred to the concierge but no one picked up for a few minutes. We hung up and tried again 3 more times. The same thing kept happening - we'd be transferred to the concierge desk and no one would pick up for several minutes. Finally, we told the front desk to NOT transfer our call to the concierge desk and front desk arranged our car.

When we checked into the hotel, I mentioned this problem we had and they were apologetic.

The room was large, with a sitting area and nice sized bathroom. However, the hardware is starting to wear down. For example, there were pieces of metal missing from the decor, etc.

We paid extra SGD120 as a "supplement" to get a daily (free) refill of the fridge (non-alcoholic drinks only), top floor of the hotel, breakfast incl, and free movies. Something like that. I'm not sure if it was worth it mainly because on the weekends, we had to line-up for the breakfast. The breakfast area is probably too small to accommodate the hotel guests. In addition, the top floor of the hotel just looks into other apartments next to the hotel so it's not worth paying for.

We were disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room. Everytime we wanted coffee/tea, we had to order it (complimentary).

The pool area even on weekdays was quite busy and not relaxing. The pool is small and the pool-side area is quite small as well. The pool-side restaurant is so close to the pool that it felt awkward swimming near a restaurant where business people in suits are having their business lunch.

Nice spa facilities. I had a 90 minute massage which was excellent.

The total bill per night after taxes and services was SGD650/night including breakfast.

Perhaps it's not appropriate to compare this hotel to other St. Regis hotels, but we stayed at St. Regis Osaka less than a year ago for half the price and the service, breakfast, room, view, decor, room equipment (like own nespresso machine) was higher in Osaka.

Room Tip: The SGD120 supplement to upgrade to the top floor is not worth it, unless you're going to watch a lot of movies on demand in the room.
