St Regis is a fantastic hotel. The room (stayed in the Lady Astor) is big, tastefully furnished, comfortable and service is impeccable. Bathroom has a nice bathtub with a city view, separate shower stall with jet massage and tv.

Hotel room also has the little things that makes a difference to some of us, automated day/night shades, various lighting modes and Laurent Bernard chocolates at turn down. Not to mention also the attentive butler service.

The stay here was definitely a treat...good for a staycation, spend some quality time and also good for a shopping trip in Singapore. It is located in the quieter end of orchard road but it's good to be away from the crowd sometimes! It's only a 10 minutes walk to where the action is. Alternatively it is also convenient to take the public transport to get around.

Breakfast is nothing to shout about though...

I Stayed at this hotel for 2 days last year. Well, what can i say It's St Regis, it tries to offer you exceptional experience, the room and facilities was superb and luxurious, airport pick-up with bentley, etc, etc. The location was convenient too, close to everywhere.

The personalized butler service is quite something, it's upclose and personal service. I personally like this idea. However, I was travelling with my little baby that day, 1 year old baby, and my wife asked for a kettle, but the butler said the hotel doesn't provide kettle in the room, and he would prepare the hot water for her (it was for milk), and when it arrived it was too hot, and she wanted lukewarm water, and he remade new ones. the thing was we had to keep asking the same thing everytime, for hot water, cups, etc, etc for our baby's needs, it was quite annoying. The breakfast buffet was ok, nothing special, compared to other 5 stars hotels.

In Overall, our stay was great, I think this hotel is perfect for leisure and business travellers, but not for my case.

I stayed here for 3 nights in October. The staff are very friendly, from the receptionist to the butler, they are all very polite in a typical Singaporean way. I love the hotel room, once you stepped into the room, I just feel so overwhelming and luxurious. I jumped into the bathtub right away! The room size are big, not outstanding, but equipped with all the necessity. 1 downside is the distance to the nearest MRT is not within walking dis. So be prepared to take taxi in and out.

Luxurious rooms and facilities, all the mod cons well hidden in old world style fittings with lashings of marble! Great size rooms.

Nice room, nice service in general (front desk not overly helpful), felt a bit too stuffy for me. Also food at the brasserie and the pool is nice, but not overwhelming.

The hotel property is wonderfully furnished and decorated with commissioned art. I stayed here on a 3rd leg of a 10 day business trip in Asia. Upon arrival, the reception desk was not well managed, the person registering you to the hotel escorted you to the elevator, while leaving a long line of people waiting. Upon my arrival, 3:05 pm, my room was not ready and was told it would be a "few" hours, seeing my expression - I was offered a upgrade, thank you! The butler did a reasonably good job explaining the features of the room. I had, initially, a difficult time operating the Bose surround sound IPOD connection, a second butler had to come in to show me. I will offer the room was wonderful, a nice bed, new sheets, generous towels and grooming supplies. The shower was forceful, spacious and equipped with a rainfall shower head and three body sprays. A nice looking soaking tub (didn't use it) with a TV in the wall.
The breakfast buffet was generous with american, asian and british offerings. The wait time to get a seat for breakfast was too long and on my last day, I was told I had to go to the second floor for breakfast, which I declined. The pool area was too small to be comfortable, this is Singapore, why not a better outdoor offering? The Spa was average, the staff was nice but average. I had on going problems with my room card lock, very annoying, I had to get few cards reprogramed. To be a Starwood hotel, attention to the small details needs to be reconsidered.
