Went to an light industrial estate kopitiam in Ubi, and was very pleasantly surprised that they had a western grill stall. There was a very long queue, but it was fairly professionally handled and they have one of those beeping devices which tells you when your order is ready. They also have a menu (as in the book) that is restaurant-quality.
When the buzzer rang, I went to collect my Caesar Salad and Mixed Grill. My goodness, it was a big plate (and I am a big eater weighing in at 115kg). It was a very large bowl of salad ($3.90) with generous toppings of sauce, though I didn't taste any eggs. But lots of veggie which is what I was looking for anyway (to balance the mixed grill).
The Mixed Grill ($12.90) had only 3 types of meat, though all of them were quite large. A very large bratwurst (though not as much taste as I would have liked), a pork chop, and a chicken chop. Both chops were larger than the ones you get at a hawker centre western food stall. It came with a little bit of salad and some grilled potatoes.
Overall, very good value and decent flavour (for the price you pay). Flavour wise I think Aston's Express are better but value wise these are big portions.
