“A Must-Visit”

The area is definitely a must-visit tourist attraction. I don't think any first-timer in Singapore would miss taking pictures with the Merlion. Plus, you can get nice photos of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and other well-known buildings from here. I actually had better views of the city from the Merlion Park, than from the Singapore Flyer - considering the former is free and the latter costs S$30!

“Because you need to be creative”

Like millions of other snappy happy photographers, the Marina Bay Sands picture appear incomplete without Singapore's favorite 'fishnimal' spouting pee from its mouth.

The area ensconed on banks of singapore river is a tourist's delight, if you happen to go to Singapore, the ideal time to visit Merlion Park is evening around 5pm - crowd begin to swell up, lights come on & a microcosm of world can be seen. As you go down the steps and sit on one of those steps clicking pictures of the landscape of Singapore with the Merlion, it becomes an ideal time to pass the evening even if you are alone. The place becomes even more breathtaking as it turns darker.

the historic Fullerton Hotel giving a spectacular view is another sight seeing marvel; don't miss the 'chocolate buffet' that the Fullerton Hotel offers on weekends

The area around the Merlion facing the Anderson bridge is picturesque and you see tourists across the world clicking pictures and taking videos with their families.

One must try the local cuisine restaurants for 'Kopi' , 'Kaya' and 'Laksa' that are typical of Singapore. With live musicians playing music and performing by the banks of the river and water flowing out from the Merlion, you don't realise how hours skip away.

“Great view!!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

It was a nice sightseeing experience in the so-called Merlion Park along with the great view of Singapore flyer and Marina Bay Sand. The tour guide said that the Merlion Statue there was the first and original statue in Singapore. On the other side of the park, One Fullerton Hotel is situated, wherein the great architecture attracts the tourist too... I really enjoyed this place..

“Icon of Singapore”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

If you're in Singapore and have not paid a visit to this place, then you cannot consider yourself as having been to Singapore. The park, which is home to Merlion a half-fish half-lion creature, symbolise Singapore's great achievements just under 50 years.

If you're visiting the park during a sunny day, do bring along an umbrella as it can get very hot under the sun. You can also stop by the One Fullerton, which is adjacent to the park, for some great dining and entertainment experience.
