A great place for a family to stay while not being expensive Singapore prices. The apartment was perfect, neat and clean with a lovely little kitchenette. The facilities were great and the location perfect. The only downside was listening to the apartment upstairs flush the toilet at 4am and then have a shower at 6 am. Thoroughly recommended.
I stayed here for 4 nights recently with my family and couldn't have been more pleased. We chose a 2-bedroom apartment which was far more spacious and better value for money than paying for 2 separate hotel rooms.
The apartment was spacious and clean and a lot of effort has gone into making it feel like a 'home away from home' especially since many guests appeared to be expat families staying more long-term.
A basic continental breakfast Monday-Friday which is nothing fancy but just clean and nice.
Le Grove is located on Orange Grove Road which is a quiet street with lots of expat serviced residences etc. only 5-10 minute walk down to Orchard Road which has restaurants, bars and all the shops you could ever want.
The staff at the front desk were always friendly and helpful and happy to call us a taxi or recommend places to go for dinner when we asked.
We will definitely be staying here again!
We were a family of 3 couples & 2 children. We had booked a 3 BHK apartment at Le Grove Serviced apartments for 4 nights and 5days.
The apartment was spacious and well furnished, with a big living room and with bedrooms big enough to fit an extra bed for the kids. Bathrooms were stylish & elegant, comparable to those in 4/5 star hotels. While there wasn’t a big cost arbitrage v/s hotel rooms, having a kitchen when traveling with parents and kids was a big convenience. Kitchen was well equipped. The apartments were serviced on a daily basis and were well kept.
They had a nice swimming pool which the kids enjoyed. They had a good breakfast spread with sufficient veg options and served awesome coffee. Internet was free, while we could have used more TV channel options.
Staff was helpful. However, there was no one at the reception on Sunday. At times, service was found wanting. They did accommodate our early arrival though which was appreciated.
Location from a family's perspective was a bit inconvenient. Walk to the nearest metro station was a good 20mins and uphill on the way back. They had shuttle service on an hourly basis, but if you have a packed itinerary and are pressed for time, it doesn’t help. The nearest convenience store/mall is also a good 15min leisurely walk to Orchard Road. There are no taxi-stands nearby, so we had to order cabs by phone every time which cost extra.
Overall, a nice experience & a good place to stay for unhurried family vacationers
Stumbled upon this place on the internet, its a great place if you need 2 rooms and its more affordable than staying in a hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. The apartment was very well up-kept. Living area was spacious, bedrooms well maintained with high quality linens. Bathrooms as good as in any 5-star hotel.
Its about 10mins walk to orchard road, so its advisable to catch the daily free shuttle to a few selected locations. Breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, tea, pastry & fruits. Would be nice to have something hot though.
My husband and I stayed here with our two daughters and mother-in-law for a week and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The staff were charming, the breakfasts (weekdays only) were plentiful and the pool was heavenly, especially after a day's shopping and sightseeing! The rooms were very nice (we had a three bedroom apartment on the top floor) and it was nice and quiet at night which was very helpful for getting the kids to sleep. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were spotless and I really wish we could have brought our housekeeping lady home with us! The shuttle bus is excellent and though the driver might seem a little grumpy at first (he's super keen on punctuality which is fair enough!) he is actually a really helpful man who is a great help when you are trying to plan where to go and how to get there. Ask him for tips on where to visit and what to see! He's so knowledgeable! If you need a supermarket then take the shuttle bus to Traders hotel and go next door to the Tanglin shopping centre. In the basement there is a really good supermarket. There is also a Chili's restaurant (great for families!) and, downstairs, an incredible patisserie called Brunetti's with the best ice cream ever! Excellent for bribing the kids! Then stagger back to Traders with your groceries to catch the shuttle bus back to your apartment. If you walk from Orchard Road back up to Le Grove in the evenings it only takes about 10 minutes and it's really not a hard walk, especially in the cooler night air - just remember to look up and watch the bats in the trees!
