“Good Value, Good Location, Good Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2011

Stayed 4 nights and 5 days in this apartment-hotel. My wife and I, plus 3 children (ages 21, 11 & 8) enjoyed the comforts of this apartment. Very cozy, near the metro (3 mins walk) and lots of restos within the vicinity. Iconic places such as Museums and Malls are within a 3 block radius. The staff are very warm and accommodating, check in and check out went smoothly.

We were not specifically fond of the breakfast buffet - it lacked the variety required to be a buffet to begin with. The dining hall always overcrowded and the staff seem always running around in chaos. However this did not prevent us from having a really great time in Singapore.

Good place to stay at - recommendable to families with children. 7 out of 10.

Hotel located on Queen street and only less than 5 min walk from Bras Basah (circle line) MRT. close to Singapore Arts Musuem, Singapore Management University. This area is very decent, quiet in the evening but safe to walk alone. Other attraction is within easy reach : 15-20 min walk to Bugis Junction (shopping area) and Raffle, Suntec, esplanade, etc. nearby, they have a cafeteria called " Kopitiem" selling quite cheap food items and open 24 hr. Hotel itself is not new but has been renovated to look good. Security wise is great with the use of Keycard on elevator, room, fitness room, swimming pool. Room size is OK not big and not small. Bedding & amenities is basic and good enough (drinking water in the refrigerator is not free) but pillow is too fluffy for me, I have to use 3 to sleep. Flat screen TV is hugh but not very much English Speaking channels. Breakfast room is a little bit small. Its a buffet style but majority items was Asian and menu was hardly changed(only few items) on daily basis but taste good. Anyway, In general, value for money and felt great to stay because staffing were all smiling, feel welcome and attentive and on top of that they speak English (better than in Hong Kong). Since this place is on the quiet corner of the street, I would recommend for solo traveller, family & businessperson who want a quiet & peaceful place to relax. But if you are looking for some action !, I suggest you stay elsewhere like Bugis, Clark Quey, China Town or Orchard would be better off. If I return to singapore on business again, I will definitely stay here.

Room Tip: If you do not smoke, choose Non Smoking Floor as I did. It located on 16th floor..DO not worry eleva...

Spent 2 nights as part of Singapore Stopover Holiday as a couple. Great location. Friendly service (especially from the doorman who makes you feel at home). Clean and very comfortable room. Wifi at reception with couch area for you to sit. Nice pool. Tiny gym.

The best thing about this hotel was letting us check in early in the morning so we can have a shower before starting our sightseeing around Singapore. And after checkout that morning, they kept our luggage at reception all day and even allowed us to use their shower by the pool in the evening before we travelled to the airport at night.

This hotel is located very very centrally, easily accessible through MRTS, Bus Taxi etc., close to all places of tourist interest and of course the hotel caters to leisure travellers and business traveller alike. The hotel has well appointed rooms with very nice furnishings and cost is not that great. Hotel provides brasserie for food for all kinds of taste, Wi-Fi connectivity, room service, health centre, swimming pool and parking facilities. Will come back again.

The one thing that makes this hotel stand apart from others is its location. It is quite centrally located and hence one can reach almost all of Sinagpore easily from this hotel.

The hotel per se, was good. The reception area was quite small (smaller than most of the hotels I have been to), rooms were comfortably large (but I would have preferred somewhat larger rooms), cleanliness top notch, room service great.

The staff speak is some sort of an accented English which does make communication somewhat tedious sometimes.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors are better. Also try for one facing away from the street.

Location, Location, Location they always say that and this hotel is right smack dab in the middle of everything. Okay nothing is really that far. I gave it 4 stars because the room was very clean. Over all it's a little old but it was clean and the staff is very nice. The lobby resturant is very Americanized. What do you do with a hotel room? sleep and get washed. The TV was an old Tube set surprisingly but how much TV do you really watch in a hotel room? Singapore has rain go buy an umbrella and get out. You are surrounded by plenty of activities. I've been at 5 star hotels, and thought less of them. This place was very good I was there for 3 weeks on business.

Room Tip: Get a room higher up you will like the view of Singapore at night. The city is well lit and very pr...
