From the US and stayed for a couple of days. Upgraded to the room with a window- definitely NOT worth it, save the money. Now to the good stuff- trendy, clean rooms. Wonderful staff. Great area near food, shopping and public transportation. The breakfast is EVERYTHING! It's located at a restaurant a few doors down (local food). Bad- thin walls but it was never too noisy. And the hotel was sort of difficult to locate from the main Street. All in all a great place to vacation.

A very friendly, warm hotel. It's located just a few minutes walking from the MRT station. You can easily find necessary things in the markets around with many fruit and clothing stores. There are also a lot of food courts with Hindu,Asian or Western style dishes.Have a good time

Stayed here for 7 nights and must say very convenient location and such helpful and friendly staffs. The hotel is new and nothing to complain about and great place for budget travelers. The mrt is a walking distance from the hotel and next door restaurant offers good breakfast and meals .

This hotel says it includes breakfast, they actually just send you to the small restaurant next door and you've got a selection of 6 different singaporean dishes, spicy noodle soup and that's about it.. anything else must be paid for.
I wouldn't stay here again. There are much better places in Singapore, which would be a lot closer to the CBD. It was a $20 taxi into the cbd from here. I'd advise catching public transport instead.
The rooms were clean and ok, but no windows gave it the feel of a dungeon room.

My parents visited me from overseas, and we were let down by my accommodation host upon arrival, and was forced to make an immediate change. Based on past experience, I called Champion Hotel and fortunately they had a room available. It was three single beds, not a double and a single, but for immediate arrival we were grateful to have a place to sleep in!

As before, the staff were exceptionally accommodating, and allowed us to check in early and remained friendly at each time we arrived of left.

The beds are a tad short for tall people, but are very comfortable and afford a good night's sleep.

The location is great for easy access to the airport which is only about a quarter hour by taxi. And there are MANY taxis that pass outside, so if you need a taxi just wait for a couple of minutes and an available taxi will arrive. It's only about a ten minute walk to Paya Lebar MRT station, and a taxi ride from there barely passes the flag-fall fee!

Some people will not be happy about the lack of restaurants, but with so many eateries all over Singapore, and a decent selection within a few minutes' walk, there is no need for any on-site catering. The area is dominantly culturally Malay, so Malay cuisine is readily available, but Chinese and Vietnamese is well represented as well.

The wifi is very good at the Reception, but upstairs in 406 it was very weak and often dropped out. If wifi is a priority for you, book a room closer to the bottom floor to be within good reach of the wifi hub.

Overall, despite the weak wifi, the Champion Hotel is well worth staying at.

Room tip: Room 406 overlooks a busy but quiet Vietnamese restaurant in the side street, but has weak wifi.
